One day workshop on “Handling Data Through MS Excel” was organized by the
Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of Hans Raj Mahila Maha Vidyalaya,
Jalandhar for the non-teaching staff of the college including library staff on April
5, 2016. The resource person of the workshop was Ms. Sonia Mahindru, Asst.
Prof. in Computer Science. 18 members of non-teaching staff attended this
workshop in which she explained the importance and basic concepts of MS Excel.
She also demonstrated the working of spreadsheet, creating tables, various
types of graphs like pie charts, bar graphs, etc., and applying formulas on the
tabulated data according to the requirement. She explained the concept of
protection and emphasised that their spreadsheets should be password protected.
