The soft beats of the hymn recited by Sh. Rajesh Premi Ji,
Sh. Parduman Ji and the tender hues of the setting sun offered a perfect
ambience to the Ved Katha Utsav organized at Hans Raj Mahila Maha Vidyalaya
under the able guidance of Principal Dr. Mrs. Ajay Sareen. Sh. Inderjit Talwar, a prominent member of
the Arya Samaj welcomed the Chief Guest Mahatma Chetanyamuni Ji and Mata Satya
Priya Ji. Dr. Rekha Kalia Bhardwaj,
Registrar of DAV University in her motivational address inspired the students
to be righteous and possess purity of thoughts.
Mata Satya Priya Ji recited two poems in the glory of patriotism and
great women of the country.
Mahatma
Chetanyamuni Ji while addressing the students hared his experiences
highlighting the importance of Havanas
and Yajnas relating to their scientific benefits to the environment. Not only a spiritual leader but a writer and
on orator, he described the vedic teachings as an epitome of individual right
for self inquiry. Vedas do not subscribe
to one religion. Vedic Culture
represents a universal human pursuit for spiritual knowledge. He elaborated that a firm faith in vedic
preaching is a source of happiness and contentment for all irrespective of
their religion. Our greatest duty is to
practice human values and emulate the life of Swami Dayanand Ji.
Principal
Dr. Ajay Sareen in her vote of thanks also encouraged the students to dream big
and work for strengthening relations in all spheres of life. The evening reached a close with the recital
of the Shanti Path. Dr. Anjana Bhatia
hosted the event. Sh. S.S. Khanna, Vice
President, DAVCMC, Sh. S.N. Mayor, Sh. Irvin Khanna, Principal Dr. B.B. Sharma,
Principal Raj Kumar, Principal Inderjit Talwar, Sh. Ravinder Sharma, Sh. M.L.
Aeri, Mr. D.K. Bhardwaj, Mr. O.P. Mahajan, Mrs. Kanta Khosla, and Mr. &
Mrs. Bharti Gaur also graced the occasion with their presence. The members of the teaching and non-teaching
staff were also present.
