Tanvi Monga, a student of M. Sc. Bioinformatics Semester-IV,
Hans Raj Mahila Maha Vidyalaya has
been selected to carry on her Major
Research Project in the top most research institute of India, the Indian
Institute of Science, Bangalore. She will be working under the guidance of Dr.
Debanath Pal in the Department of Computational and Data Sciences. Tanvi did her graduation in B. Sc.
Non-medical with Bioinformatics and joined M. Sc. Bioinformatics programme last
year. Doing six months project at IISc. Bangalore will give her an opportunity
to work on high end data analysis techniques and will be helpful to fulfill her
goal to pursue her career in a bioinformatics industry. It is worth mentioning that the Hans Raj
Mahila Maha Vidyalaya is the only college under the Guru Nanak Dev University
offering the UGC Innovative course of M. Sc. Bioinformatics. On this occasion Principal Dr. Mrs. Ajay
Sareen congratulated Tanvi and the Head of the Department Mr. Harpreet Singh.
ਹੰਸਰਾਜ ਮਹਿਲਾ ਮਹਾਵਿਦਿਆਲਾ, ਜਲੰਧਰ ਦੀ ਐਮ.ਐਸ.ਸੀ ਬਾਇਓਇਨਫਰਮੈਟਿਕਸ ਦੀ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥਣ ਤਨਵੀ ਮੋਂਗਾ ਆਪਣੇ ਖੋਜ਼ ਪ੍ਰੋਜੈਕਟ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਭਾਰਤ ਦੀ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਵੱਡੀ ਸੰਸਥਾ ਇੰਡੀਅਨ ਇੰਸਟੀਟਿਊਟ ਆਫ ਸਾਇੰਸ, ਬੰਗਲੋਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਚੁਣੀ ਗਈ ਹੈ। ਇਸ ਪ੍ਰੋਜੈਕਟ ਵਿੱਚ ਉਹ ਕਪਿਊਟੇਸ਼ਨਲ ਅਤੇ ਡਾਟਾ ਸਾਇੰਸ ਵਿਭਾਗ ਦੇ ਡਾ. ਦੇਬਨਾਥ ਪਾਲ ਦੇ ਅਧੀਨ ਕੰਮ ਕਰੇਗੀ। ਤਨਵੀ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੀ ਬੀਐਸਸੀ ਨਾਨ-ਮੈਡੀਕਲ ਬਾਇਓਇਨਫਰਮੈਟਿਕਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਾਸ ਕੀਤੀ ਅਤੇ ਪਿਛਲੇ ਸਾਲ ਐਮ.ਐਸ.ਸੀ ਬਾਇਓਇਨਫਾਰਮੈਟਿਕਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਕੀਤੀ। ਆਈ.ਆਈ.ਐਸ.ਸੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਛੇ ਮਹੀਨੇ ਦੇ ਪੋ੍ਰਜੈਕਟ ਨਾਲ ਉਸਨੂੰ ਡਾਟਾ ਐਨਲਸਿਸ ਤਕਨੀਕਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਕੰਮ ਕਰਨ ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਬਾਇਓਇਨਫਾਰਮੈਟਿਕਸ ਇੰਡਸਟਰੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਸੁਪਨੇ ਸਾਕਾਰ ਕਰਨ ਦਾ ਮੌਕਾ ਮਿਲੇਗਾ। ਇਹ ਦਸਣਾ ਜਰੂਰੀ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਹੰਸ ਰਾਜ ਮਹਿਲਾ ਮਹਾਵਿਦਿਆਲਾ, ਗੁਰੂ ਨਾਨਕ ਦੇਵ ਯੂਨੀਵਰਸਿਟੀ ਦਾ ਇੱਕ ਇੱਕਲਾ ਕਾਲਜ ਹੈ ਜੋ ਐਮ.ਐਸ.ਸੀ ਬਾਇਓਇਨਫਾਰਮੈਟਿਕਸ ਦਾ ਕੋਰਸ ਕਰਵਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ਇਸ ਖਾਸ ਮੌਕੇ ਤੇ ਪਿੰ੍ਰਸੀਪਲ ਡਾ. ਅਜੈ ਸਰੀਨ ਨੇ ਤਨਵੀ ਅਤੇ ਵਿਭਾਗ ਦੇ ਮੁਖੀ ਸ਼੍ਰੀ ਹਰਪ੍ਰੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੂੰ ਵਧਾਈ ਦਿੱਤੀ।
