IQAC in collaboration
with NSS unit of Hans Raj Mahila Maha Vidyalaya, Jalandhar organized one day
workshop on Digital Payments. The workshop was held in January 12, 2017, in
which 23 members of non-teaching as well as supporting staff participated. Mrs.
Urvashi Mishra, the resource person of the workshop explained the usage of
digital payment and demonstrated each and every concept practically like
creating digital wallets in mobile, paying through mobile using Paytm app,
online payments using credit and debit cards, net-banking, etc. The
participants were convinced with the advantages of digital payments and
installed the app on the spot. She also cautioned the participants by
explaining the security concerns related to such payments were also discussed
to make the efficient use of digital payments safely. Dr. (Mrs.) Ajay Sareen
appreciated the efforts of IQAC and NSS and motivated the participants to start
making digital payments in their day-to-day life. She said that we are living
in the digital world which is growing at a fast pace, so we have to be techno
savvy which is the basic requirement of today’s world.
