Hans Raj Mahila Maha Vidyalaya organized a DBT sponsored one
day workshop for Gardeners of the college. In this workshop, the resource
persons were Mr. Baljeet Kang, Organic Farmer and Volunteer, Kheti Virasat
Mission, Mr. Pankaj and Ms. Lipika.
Programme Coordinator Dean Innovative Practices Mrs. Ramnita Saini
Sharda, Head of Botany department Dr. Meena Sharma and Dr. Anjana Bhatia,
Office Supdt. Mr. Amarjit Khanna and Supdt. Accounts Mr. Pankaj Jyoti welcomed
them. Resource person Mr. Baljeet Kang
told Gardeners about how to do environment friendly farming. He said that leaves of the trees should not
be burnt, rather fertilizers should be prepared from them. He also conducted a Kitchen Garden workshop
in which he explained the process of mulching.
He encouraged Gardeners to grow chemical free plants and vegetables so
that there is no risk of diseases.
ਹੰਸਰਾਜ ਮਹਿਲਾ ਮਹਾਵਿਦਿਆਲਾ ਵਿਖੇ ਡੀਬੀਟੀ ਦੇ ਸਹਿਯੋਗ ਨਾਲ ਮਾਲਿਆਂ ਲਈ ਇਕ ਰੋਜ਼ਾ ਵਰਕਸ਼ਾਪ ਦਾ ਆਯੋਜਨ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ। ਇਸ ਵਰਕਸ਼ਾਪ ਵਿੱਚ ਬਤੌਰ ਰਿਸੋਰਸ ਪਰਸਨ ਆਰਗੇਨਿਕ ਫਾਰਮਰ ਅਤੇ ਖੇਤੀ ਵਿਰਾਸਤ ਮਿਸ਼ਨ ਦੇ ਵਾਲਟਿਯਰ ਬਲਜੀਤ ਕੰਗ, ਪੰਕਜ, ਅਤੇ ਮੈਡਮ ਲਿਪਿਕਾ ਮੌਜੂਦ ਸੀ। ਪ੍ਰੋਗਰਾਮ ਕੋਆਰਡੀਨੇਟਰ ਡੀਨ ਇਨੋਵੇਟਿਵ ਪ੍ਰੈਕਟਿਸ ਸ਼੍ਰੀਮਤੀ ਰਮਨੀਤਾ ਸੈਣੀ ਸ਼ਾਰਦਾ, ਡਾ. ਅੰਜਨਾ ਭਾਟਿਆ, ਆਫਿਸ ਸੁਪਰਡੈਂਟ ਸ਼੍ਰੀ ਅਮਰਜੀਤ ਖੰਨਾ ਅਤੇ ਸੁਪਰਡੈਂਟ ਅਕਾਊਂਟ ਸ਼੍ਰੀ ਪੰਕਜ ਜਯੋਤੀ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਾ ਸਵਾਗਤ ਕੀਤਾ। ਰਿਸੋਰਸ ਪਰਸਨ ਬਲਜੀਤ ਕੰਗ ਨੇ ਮਾਲਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਵਾਤਾਵਰਣ ਪੱਖੀ ਖੇਤੀਬਾੜੀ ਕਿੱਦਾਂ ਕੀਤੀ ਜਾ ਸਕਦੀ ਹੈ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਪੱਤਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਸਾੜਨ ਦੀ ਬਜਾਏ ਪੱਤਿਆਂ ਤੋਂ ਹੀ ਖਾਦ ਬਣਾਉਣੀ ਚਾਹੀਦੀ ਹੈ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਬਗੈਰ ਕੈਮਿਕਲ ਦੇ ਸਬਜ਼ਿਆਂ ਤੇ ਪੌਧੇ ਉਗਾਉਣ ਦੇ ਬਾਰੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਜਾਣਕਾਰੀ ਦਿੱਤੀ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਮਾਲਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਮਲਚਿੰਗ ਪ੍ਰਕ੍ਰਿਆ ਦੇ ਬਾਰੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਪੂਰੀ ਜਾਣਕਾਰੀ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਅਤੇ ਪੌਧਿਆਂ ਤੇ ਸਬਜ਼ੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਜੈਵਿਕ ਤਰੀਕੇ ਨਾਲ ਤਿਆਰ ਕਰਨ ਦੇ ਲਈ ਪ੍ਰੇਰਿਤ ਕੀਤਾ ਤਾਂਕਿ ਬਿਮਾਰੀਆਂ ਤੋਂ ਬਚਿਆ ਜਾ ਸਕੇ।
