A general orientation programme was organized for the
students of TDC I, II and III (all streams) and PG classes/diplomas in the
Ragini Auditorium of Hans Raj Mahila Maha Vidyalaya on 17th July, 2017 under
the stewardship of Principal Prof. Dr. (Mrs.) Ajay Sareen. The Overall Incharges of the programme were
Dr. Kanwaldeep Kaur, Dean Academics and Dr. Ashmeen Kaur, Dean Discipline. The stage was conducted by Dr. Anjana
Bhatia. Students gathered in big numbers
to get apprised with the various rules and regulations of the institution. Dr. Ashmeen Kaur, Dean Discipline told the
students that discipline is the backbone of every institution and our
institution is known for its discipline.
Inculcating self discipline can transform our personality. She also made the students aware about the
prohibited use of mobiles and the existence of a Grievance Redressal Cell in
the college. Mrs. Urvashi, Dean Student
Council provided general orientation regarding leave rules, eligibility,
attendance and examination rules. Dr.
Anjana Bhatia, Incharge Add on-courses for acquiring additional skills and
enhancement of personality. She gave a
list of the available add-on-courses and hobby classes and even screened a
motivating video. Mr. Gullagong,
Placement Officer focussed on campus placement through company visit and the
good pay packages earned by students every year. HMV, he said, has the maximum placements in
the region. Dr. Seema Khanna emphasized
how Career Counselling Cell is directly linked with improving the placement
status of the students. Dr. Anjana also
motivated the students to join NSS and NCC as student volunteers and become
goodwill ambassadors of the nation. Mrs.
Saloni Sharma as NCC Incharge focussed on the building up of a new National
level Firing Range, the first and the only 50 meter range in Punjab. She also gave information about the various
camps attended by the cadets. Mrs.
Kanwaldeep, Dean Academics threw light on the fact that ‘life is all about
making choices’ and the students had made the right choice by joining HMV. She told them about the rules of change of
faculty/subject, fee concessions, bus passes, gate passes, societies and clubs
for honing their skills and participation in Talent Hunt competitions to be a
part of Youth Welfare competitions.
After the
general orientation, distribution of Time Table and allotment of Roll Numbers
was done to make the new entrants comfortable and feel at home. The necessary directions regarding their
classes were given to them.
ਹੰਸਰਾਜ ਮਹਿਲਾ ਮਹਾਂਵਿਦਿਆਲਾ, ਜਲੰਧਰ ਵਿਖੇ ਮਿਤੀ 17 ਜੁਲਾਈ, 2017 ਨੂੰ ਅਕਾਦਮਿਕ ਸੈਸ਼ਨ ਦਾ ਆਰੰਭ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ। ਪ੍ਰਿੰਸੀਪਲ ਪ੍ਰੋ.(ਡਾ.) ਅਜੈ ਸਰੀਨ ਦੀ ਅਗਵਾਈ ਵਿੱਚ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਹੋਏ ਇਸ ਸੈਸ਼ਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥਣਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਕਾਲਜ ਦੇ ਨਿਯਮਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਜਾਣੂ ਕਰਵਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਕਾਲਜ ਆਡੀਟੋਰੀਅਮ ਵਿਖੇ ਡੀਨ ਅਕਾਦਮਿਕ ਡਾ. ਕੰਵਲਦੀਪ ਕੌਰ ਦੀ ਰਾਹਨੁਮਾਈ ਹੇਠ ਡੀਨ ਅਨੁਸ਼ਾਸਨ ਕਮੇਟੀ ਡਾ. ਆਸ਼ਮੀਨ ਕੌਰ ਨੇ ਕਾਲਜ ਵਿਚ ਅਨੁਸ਼ਾਸਨ ਤੇ ਹੋਰ ਨਿਯਮਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਜਾਣੂ ਕਰਵਾਇਆ। ਡੀਨ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀ ਕੌਂਸਲ ਸ਼੍ਰੀਮਤੀ ਉਰਵਸ਼ੀ ਮਿਸ਼ਰਾ ਨੇ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥਣਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸਮੇਂ ਦਾ ਪਾਲਣ ਕਰਨ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਨਾਲ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥਣਾਂ ਲਈ ਛੁੱਟੀ ਦੇ ਨਿਯਮਾਂ ਤੇ ਹੋਰ ਜ਼ਰੂਰੀ ਨੁਕਤੇ ਸਾਂਝੇ ਕੀਤੇ। ਕੈਰੀਅਰ ਕੌਂਸਲਿੰਗ ਸੈਲ ਦੇ ਡਾ. ਸੀਮਾ ਖੰਨਾ ਤੇ ਪਲੇਸਮੈਂਟ ਸੈਲ ਦੇ ਸ਼੍ਰੀ ਗੁਲਾਗਾਂਗ ਨੇ ਕਾਲਜ ਦੇ ਪਿਛਲੇ ਇਤਿਹਾਸ ਤੋਂ ਜਾਣੂ ਕਰਵਾਉਦਿਆਂ ਵੱਖ-ਵੱਖ ਕੰਪਨੀਆਂ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਕਾਲਜ ਵਿਚ ਕੀਤੀ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਪਲੇਸਮੈਂਟ ਬਾਰੇ ਜਾਣਕਾਰੀ ਦਿੱਤੀ। ਸ਼੍ਰੀਮਤੀ ਸਲੋਨੀ ਸ਼ਰਮਾ ਨੇ ਐਨ.ਸੀ.ਸੀ. ਲਈ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥਣਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਉਤਸ਼ਾਹਿਤ ਕੀਤਾ। ਡਾ. ਅੰਜਨਾ ਭਾਟੀਆ ਨੇ ਸਟੇਜ ਸੰਚਾਲਨ ਕਰਦਿਆਂ ਐਨ.ਐਸ.ਐਸ. ਤੇ ਐਡ-ਓਨ ਕੋਰਸਾਂ ਬਾਰੇ ਵਿਸਥਾਰ ਪੂਰਬਕ ਜਾਣਕਾਰੀ ਦਿੱਤੀ। ਅਕਾਦਮਿਕ ਸੈਸ਼ਨ 2017-18 ਦੇ ਆਰੰਭ ਵਾਸਤੇ ਕਰਵਾਏ ਗਏ ਇਸ ਪ੍ਰੋਗਰਾਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਬਹੁਤ ਸਾਰੇ ਸਟਾਫ ਮੈਂਬਰਾਂ ਨੇ ਭਾਗ ਲਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣੀਆਂ ਸ਼ੁੱਭ ਇਛਾਵਾਂ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥਣਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਦਿੱਤੀਆਂ।
