HMV outshines in the 48th GNDU Inter College Athletics Championship

The Athletic Team of Hans Raj Mahila Maha Vidyalaya won the 48^th GNDU Inter College Athletics Championship held at Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar from 1^st to 4^th November.  The team got winner position with 77 points.   The college has won this championship after 5 years by defeating Khalsa College for Women, Amritsar and Khalsa College, Amritsar.  Balwinder Kaur won the Gold Medal in Javelin throw.  In 4x100 mtrs Relay Sapna won the Gold Medal.  Kuljit Kaur and Sarabjit Kaur won the Gold Medal in Hammer throw and Heptathlon respectively.  Triple Jumper Sukhpreet Kaur won the Silver Medal in Triple Jump category.  Manpreet Kaur and Tejinder Kaur won the Silver Medals in 4x400 mtrs. Relay.  Sharandeep Kaur won Gold Medal in 4x100 mtrs. Relay, and Silver in 100 Mtrs. Hurdles and 400 mtrs. Hurdles.  Mandeep Kaur gave the best performance by winning Gold in 100 mtrs. Hurdles, 400 mtrs. Hurdles and 4x100 Mtrs. Relay.  Manisha got the Gold Medal in 5000 Mtrs. & 1500 Mtrs. and Silver in 4x400 mtrs. Relay.   Manpreet Kaur won the Gold in 4x100 mtrs. Relay whereas Mandeep Kaur got Silver for the same.  Manpreet Kaur also won Gold Medal for 100 mtrs. and Bronze for 200 mtrs.  Navneet Kaur won Silver Medal for Hammer Throw.  Km. Manpreet Kaur declared Fastest Women of GNDU.  Shivani got Gold for 5000 mtrs. Walk.  Principal Prof. Dr. (Mrs.) Ajay Sareen congratulated the coaches and the winners for their achievement.  Coaches of the teams Mr. Sarabjit Singh Happy, Mr. M.S. Dhillon, HOD Physical Education Deptt. Mrs. Sudarshan Kang and Miss Sukhwinder Kaur were also present.

ਹੰਸ ਰਾਜ ਮਹਿਲਾ ਮਹਾਂ ਵਿਦਿਆਲਿਆ, ਜਲੰਧਰ ਦੀ ਐਥਲੈਟਿਕ ਟੀਮ ਨੇ ਜੀਐਨਡੀਯੂ ਇੰਟਰ ਕਾਲਜ ਮੁਕਾਬਲੇ 'ਚ ਸ਼ਾਨਦਾਰ ਪਦਰਸ਼ਨ ਕਰਕੇ 77 ਅੰਕਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਜਿੱਤ ਪਾਪਤ ਕੀਤੀ।  ਕਾਲਜ ਨੇ ਇਹ ਚੈਂਪਿਅਨਸ਼ਿਪ 5 ਸਾਲਾਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਖਾਲਸਾ ਕਾਲਜ ਫਾਰ ਵੂਮੈਨ, ਅੰਮਿਤਸਰ ਅਤੇ ਖਾਲਸਾ ਕਾਲਜ, ਅੰਮਿਤਸਰ ਨੂੰਹਰਾ ਕੇ ਪਾਪਤ ਕੀਤੀ। ਜੈਵਲਿਨ ਥੋ 'ਚ ਬਲਵਿੰਦਰ ਕੌਰ, 4100 ਰਿਲੇ 'ਚ ਸਪਨਾ, ਹੈਮਰ ਥੋ ਅਤੇ ਹੈਪਟਾ ਥਲੋਨ 'ਚ ਕੁਲਜੀਤ ਅਤੇ ਸਰਵਜੀਤ ਨੂੰਸੋਨੇ ਦਾ ਪਦਕ ਮਿਲਿਆ।  ਟਿਪਲ ਜੰਪ 'ਚ ਸੁਖਪੀਤ, 4400 ਰਿਲੇ 'ਚ ਮਨਪੀਤ ਕੌਰ ਤੇ ਤਜਿੰਦਰ ਕੌਰ ਨੂੰਸਿਲਵਰ ਪਦਕ ਮਿਲਿਆ।  ਸ਼ਰਨਦੀਪ ਕੌਰ ਨੇ 4400 ਰਿਲੇ 'ਚ ਗੋਲਡ ਮੈਡਲ ਅਤੇ 100 ਮੀਟਰ ਅਤੇ 400 ਮੀਟਰ ਹਰਡਲਜ਼ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਿਲਵਰ ਮੈਡਲ ਪਾਪਤ ਕੀਤਾ।  ਮਨਦੀਪ ਕੌਰ ਨੇ ਚੰਗਾਂ ਪਦਰਸ਼ਨ ਕਰਦੇ ਹੋਏ 100 ਮੀਟਰ ਹਰਡਲ, 400 ਮੀਟਰ ਹਰਡਲ ਤੇ 4100 ਮੀਟਰ ਰਿਲੇ 'ਚ ਗੋਲਡ ਮੈਡਲ ਪਾਪਤ ਕੀਤਾ।  

ਮਨੀਸ਼ਾ ਨੇ 5000 ਮੀਟਰ ਤੇ 1500 ਮੀਟਰ 'ਚ ਗੋਲਡ ਤੇ 4400 ਮੀਟਰ ਰਿਲੇ 'ਚ ਸਿਲਵਰ ਮੈਡਲ ਜਿੱਤਿਆ।  4100 ਰਿਲੇ 'ਚ ਮਨਪੀਤ ਕੌਰ ਨੂੰਗੋਲਡ ਅਤੇ ਮੰਦੀਪ ਕੌਰ ਨੂੰਸਿਲਵਰ ਮੈਡਲ ਮਿਲਿਆ। ਮਨਪੀਤ ਕੌਰ ਨੂੰ100 ਮੀਟਰ ਦੇ ਲਈ ਗੋਲਡ ਤੇ 200 ਮੀਟਰ ਦੇ ਲਈ ਬਾਂਜ਼ ਮੈਡਲ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਗਿਆ।  ਹੈਮਰ ਥੋ 'ਚ ਨਵਨੀਤ ਕੌਰ ਨੂੰਸਿਲਵਰ ਮੈਡਲ ਮਿਲਿਆ।  5000 ਮੀ. ਵਾੱਕ ਵਿੱਚ ਸ਼ਿਵਾਨੀ ਨੇ ਗੋਲਡ ਮੈਡਲ ਜਿੱਤਿਆ।  ਪਿੰਸੀਪਲ ਪੋ. ਡਾ. ਸੀਮਤੀ ਅਜੈ ਸਰੀਨ ਨੇ ਜੇਤੂ ਟੀਮਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਸਪੋਰਟਸ ਵਿਭਾਗ ਦੀ ਮੁਖੀ ਸੀਮਤੀ ਸੁਦਰਸ਼ਨ ਕੰਗ ਅਤੇ ਕੋਚ ਨੂੰਵਧਾਈ ਦਿੱਤੀ।  ਇਸ ਮੌਕੇ ਤੇ ਟੀਮ ਕੋਚ ਸਰਬਜੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਹੈਪੀ, ਐਮ.ਐਸ.ਢਿੱਲੋਂ ਅਤੇ ਸੁਸੀ ਸੁਖਵਿੰਦਰ ਕੌਰ ਮੌਜੂਦ ਸਨ।
