belonging to the skilled workforce, Hans Raj Mahila Maha Vidyalaya is a
top-notch institution offering various vocational courses at Graduate and Post
graduate levels under Knowledge Acquisition and Upgradation of Skilled Human
Abilities and Livelihood (KAUSHAL) Kendra. UGC has sanctioned 10 skilled
courses to the college which include four new courses namely M.Voc (Cosmetology
and Wellness). B.Voc (Yoga and Fitness), B.Voc (E-commerce and Digital
Marketing) and Diploma (Nanny and Elderly Healthcare.)
It is a matter of great
honour that HMV becomes the only college in Punjab to be sanctioned the course
of M.Voc (Cosmetology & Wellness). The College is already running M.Voc
(Web Technology and Multimedia), B.Voc (Web Technology & Multi Media),
B.Voc (Banking & Financial Services), B.Voc (Journalism & Media), B.Voc
(Fashion Technology), B.Voc (Mental Health and Counselling), B.Voc (Cosmetology
and Wellness), Diploma in Journalism and Media, Diploma in Tourism and Hospitality
and Advance Diploma in Fashion Designing.
Principal Prof. Dr. (Mrs.) Ajay Sareen proclaimed
that the focus of Kaushal Kendra is skill training for specific job roles along
with general education. Nodal Officer of KAUSHAL KENDRA Dr. Ekta Khosla said
that these courses have multi entry and exit options and there is no age limit.
Students with 10+2 qualification can opt to sharpen their skills and start
earning early by placement in organized and unorganized sectors. The courses
equip the students with the skills which enable them to become successful
entrepreneurs and hence becoming job givers instead of job seekers.
