Following the ideology of
Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam and to instill the creative instinct among students, HMV
Collegiate Sr. Sec. School organized a rare and unique competition under the strenuous
and dynamical guidance of Principal Prof. Dr. (Mrs.) Ajay Sareen and benign
support of Co-ordinator Mrs. Meenakshi Syal. Principal Prof. Dr. (Mrs.) Ajay
Sareen welcomed the guests Brig. Advitiya Madan, Group Commander NCC
Headquarter, Jalandhar and Col. A.A. Jaffery, Deputy Commander, NCC
Headquarter, Jalandhar. The competition was organized with an objective to make
students learn that when creativity blossoms, thinking emanates, when thinking
emanates, knowledge is fully lit, when knowledge is lit, economy flourishes.
The students of SSC-I and 2 participated with exuberance and passion. They
showed their creativity by making models, charts depicting the course structure
of college, covering all the undergraduate, postgraduate, value added courses
and variety of vocational courses available in the institution. Principal Dr.
Sareen appreciated the labourious efforts of students and honoured the winners
by presenting planter. Ms. Kriti of SSC-I (Comm.) got 1st prize, Ms.
Kriti Aggarwal and Tarunika of SSC-II (Arts) won 2nd prize, Ms.
Hardeep and Ms. Komalpreet of SSC-II (Arts) won 3rd prize.
