HMV Collegiate Sr. Sec. School Declared as the First Fit India School in North Region


It is a matter of immense pride to share that HMV Collegiate Sr. Sec. School has received the honor as the first Fit India School in the North Region and has been awarded with the Certificate of Recognition by the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Govt. of India. Fit India movement, launched by Prime Minister Sh. Narendra Modi aims to healthy nation by embracing sports and physical activities as a part of day to day routine. Having achieved the Fit India ranking, the school is now able to use Fit India flag and logo. Principal Dr. (Mrs.) Ajay Sareen heartily congratulated school coordinator, Mrs. Meenakshi Syal, Ms. Harpreet Kaur, HOD Physical Education Deptt. and faculty members for this applaudable achievement and mentioned that school has always remained active for arranging various physical drives all round the year to invoke the importance of fitness and health amongst students. She further added that a great nation is only possible through healthy people and healthy society and our institute will keep promoting this idea time and again. School coordinator felt elated and she stressed on changing the mindset of people when it comes to physical fitness and said that our school will keep providing knowledge and facilities for students as well as teachers in this arena. On the key note this campaign does not simply imply making fitness plans on paper but rather sweating it out and changing food habits as the importance of being healthy is also mentioned in our scriptures.
