Hans Raj Mahila Maha
Vidyalaya virtually celebrated the 156th Birth Anniversary of its
founder Mahatma Hans Raj Ji. Principal Prof. Dr. Mrs. Ajay Sareen congratulated
all the faculty members, non-teaching staff, supporting staff members and
students on this pious day. She told
that the founder of DAV institutions, Mahatma Hans Raj Ji founded Hans Raj
Mahila Maha Vidyalaya in 1927 at Lahore.
After partition, this institution was re-established at Arya Samaj
Bikrampura at Jalandhar in 1948 and its present campus was established on 7th
November, 1959. At present, HMV is considered as the best college of North
India.
On this pious occasion of
Mahatma Hans Raj Ji’s birthday, President, DAVCMC, Dr. Punam Suri gave a video
message to all the DAV fraternity. He said that it is DAV institution, which
teaches real humanity to the humans. He said that if we want our students to
excel in all phases of life, we should take care of two aspects, materialism
and spiritualism. He appreciated the work of DAV teachers during lockdown
situation. He said that every teacher of DAV institute is a moral
preacher. He said that it was the dream
of Mahatma Hans Raj Ji to teach the lesson of spirituality and humanity to all
the citizens of India. If we do this, it will be our real tribute to the great
soul.
