To provide an opportunity to students to showcase
their singing talent, HMV Collegiate Sr. Sec. School organized competition
‘Face of Music’ under Pratibha Khoj 2020. All the young maestros sang the
variety of songs based on different themes like Old melodies, Bhajans, Western,
Folk etc. Around 18 students participated in the competition. On this occasion,
Principal Prof. Dr. (Mrs.) Ajay Sareen felt elated with the captivating
performances by the students and also apprised students that music expresses
that which cannot be put into words and that which cannot remain silent. She
congratulated the winners. The School Coordinator Mrs. Meenakashi Sayal also
inspired students to follow their passion and keep putting their earnest
efforts to attain perfection in whatever they do.
The competition was adjudged by subject experts
Dr. Prem Sagar (Head of Music Vocal Deptt.) and Dr. Santosh Khanna (Head of Music
Instrumental Deptt.). Ms. Shilpa Talwar (Music deptt.) was the activity
incharge. Prempreet Kaur from SSC I (Arts) won first position, Dhanya Shree
from SSCII (Arts) got second position and Khushi Jain from SSCII (Arts) got
third position. Another prize for commendable performance was given to Chahat
from SSCI (Arts).
