HMV Collegiate School adds another feather to its golden cap as Diya Ahuja of SSC-II (Medical) becomes the only student from Punjab to receive Swachta Saarthi Fellowship

 



 

With the vision of holistic growth of students HMV Collegiate Sr. Sec. School engaged throughout the year under the proficient directions of Principal Prof. Dr. (Mrs.) Ajay Sareen. Students are encouraged to actively participate in INSPIRE Camps. Children Science Congress to instill research aptitude among them. In this context to be one step ahead, Our student of SSC-II (Medical) Diya Ahuja got selected for “Swachhta Saarthi Fellowship” sanctioned by the office of Principal Scientific Advisor, DST Govt. of India. She becomes the only student of Sonia Secondary Level (Category-A) who got selected from Punab. This fellowship is an initiative to empower young innovators to their innovative and sustainable solutions for conversion of waste to wealth. Diya Ahuja will work under the supervision of Mrs. Meenakshi Sayal and Ms. Vandana to develop the technology for converting Paddy Straw into wealth which would be beneficial to the society and will also motivate young minds.

Principal Prof. Dr. (Mrs.) Ajay Sareen congratulated Diya and mentors Mrs. Meenakshi Sayal and Ms. Vandana for this brilliant achievement. She further added that HMV Collegiate School constantly becomes pioneer in innovatory ideas to convert waste into wealth. Mrs. Meenakshi Sayal, School Coordinator apprised that the inventive ideas of students can be perceived at the Eco-Garden of HMV Collegiate School which has been established with the efforts and creativity of the students where they have used waste tyres, plastic bottles, flush tanks, water taps, paint boxes, bags, cycles etc. in beautiful and appealing manner that speak of their ingenuity.
