The NSS Unit of Hans Raj
Mahila Maha Vidyalaya, Jalandhar organised an Online workship on Beat COVID-Helpers
Skills in association with Mahatma Gandhi National Council of Rural Education,
Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Education, Govt. of India under the
aegis of IIC, HMV. The Resource Person was Mrs. Sandhya Tuti from MGNCRE,
Ministry of Education, Govt. of India. The workshop started with Gayatri Mantra
and lighting of the lamp. Principal Prof. Dr. (Mrs.) Ajay Sareen welcomed the
Resource Person Mrs. Sandhya Tuti and said that in this time of COVID-19 this
workshop will prove to be every effective.
She appreciated the efforts of NSS Programme Officer Mrs. Veena
Arora, Ms. Harmanu Paul and Dean
Innovation Council Dr. Anjana Bhatia. Mrs. Sandhya Tuti gave detailed
information on the subject. She discussed the various steps taken by Local
Managing Committees in this pandemic. She said helping people mentally &
socially is the need of the hour. She gave useful information on various teams
like Medicine Team, Family Related Team, Communication with COVID Patient Team, Hospital Management Team etc. She also
had an interactive session with NSS Volunteers. She educated the students
through various case studies. At the end of the programme, NSS Programme
Officer Mrs. Veena Arora presented vote of thanks. She said that this useful
information will be spread in society through our NSS volunteers. We will be more aware towards
this disease. The moderators of the workshop were Dr. Anjana Bhatia and Dr.
Meenu Talwar. In this workshop, Asstt. NSS Programme Officer Mrs. Pawan Kumari
was also present. This workshop was attended by NSS Volunteers, NCC Cadets and students of Student Council
with full enthusiasm.
