Amidst the
hallowed halls of learning and a beacon of educational excellence, Hans Raj
Mahila Maha Vidyalaya, stood resplendent as it hosted its 92nd Convocation, a
testament to its unwavering commitment to nurturing knowledge. In a momentous
occasion for 838 aspiring graduates of both Undergraduate and Postgraduate
programs, the academic year 2021-22 was brought to a grand culmination, under
the dynamic and visionary leadership of Principal Prof. Dr. (Mrs.) Ajay Sareen.
The event was graced by a distinguished garland of dignitaries, each a luminary
in their own right. Sh. Sushil Rinku, Member Parliament (Jalandhar Lok Sabha Constituency) held the
esteemed position of Chief Guest. Dr. Neelima Jerath, Director General, Pushpa Gujral
Science City, Kapurthala and Justice (Retd.) Sh. N.K. Sud, Vice President,
DAVCMC, and Chairman LAC, added their grace as Guests of Eminence and Guest of
Honour, forming a formidable trio of distinction. Sh. Ashok Pruthi, Sh. Sudhir
Sharma, Sh. SP Sehdev, Sh. Ajay Goswami, Dr. Pawan Gupta, Dr. Sanjeev Sood, Principal
Kiranjit Kaur and Mrs. Shilpi Goyal formed a part of the occasion. Principal Dr. Ajay Sareen extended a warm and verdant
welcome to the august assembly of guests and the media, setting the tone for
the day's proceedings. The Convocation commenced with the ceremonial lighting
of the lamp, an age-old tradition that symbolizes the illumination of
knowledge, followed by a heartfelt recital of the DAV Anthem and Krishna
Vandana. Principal Dr. Ajay Sareen, in her poised and articulate manner,
offered a formal welcome to the revered guests and eloquently presented a
comprehensive report of the institution, meticulously detailing the saga of its
glorious journey. With grace and authority, she declared the Convocation
officially open, marking the beginning of a momentous chapter in the lives of
the graduating students. The Chief Guest of the occasion, Sh. Sushil Rinku, a
figure of resplendent stature, delivered an emphatic Convocation address,
inspiring the young graduates with words that resonated with wisdom and hope.
He congratulated the degree holders on being a part of the esteemed institution
as HMV. Expressing great compassion, he advised the students to be aware of
life and its values. He lauded the talented students of HMV and the prestigious
place women hold in the society. He also announced a grant of 10 lacs to the
Computer Science Department. Dr. Neelima Jerath, renowned for her illustrious
career as a scientist, cherished the joy of success and proclaimed that the
path to achievement is paved with unwavering dedication and relentless effort.
She described this journey as the true commencement of life, a voyage where one
must embrace both success and failures as invaluable lessons. Justice (Retd.)
Sh. N.K. Sud, in his own inimitable style, extended his warm congratulations to
the students on their red-letter day. Applauding their confidence, he urged
them to keep the flame of motivation alive within them, to serve as seekers as
well as beacons of inspiration. As the day's proceedings drew to a close,
Principal Dr. Ajay Sareen took the honor of declaring the Convocation closed,
symbolizing the completion of one journey and the commencement of another. The
culmination of the formalities heralded a vibrant display of cultural
performances, a fitting tribute to the diversity and talent that thrives within
the institution. The 92nd Convocation of Hans Raj Mahila Maha Vidylaya was a
tapestry of tradition, excellence, and inspiration, painting a vivid picture of
academic achievement and the promise of a bright future for the graduating
students. It will forever be remembered as a day of triumph, as these scholars
step forward to shape the world with their newfound knowledge and aspirations. The
vote of thanks was presented by Convocation Co-ordinator. The stage was
conducted by Dr. Anjana Bhatia, Dr. Ramnita Saini Sharda and Dr. Ashmeen Kaur.
The Coordinator was Dr. Shallu Batra and Co-Incharge was Dr. Jiwan Devi. All
the Faculty Members, Superintendents Sh. Pankaj Jyoti, Sh. Lakhwinder Singh,
Sh. Ravi Maini, Non-Teaching and Supporting Staff became a part of the success
of the Convocation.
