HMV Celebrated 98th Foundation Day



 

Full of zest and gusto, 98th foundation day of Hans Raj Mahila Maha Vidyalaya Jalandhar was celebrated under the able guidance of Principal Dr. (Mrs.) Ajay Sareen. The event began with lightning the holy lamp followed by DAV Gaan. Justice (Retd.) N.K. Sud, Vice President DAVCMC and Chairman DAV Local Advisory Committee, Dr. Sushma Chawla, Mr. Atul Mayor, Sh. Ajay Goswami, Sh. S.P. Sehdev, Sh. Surjit Lal, Dr. Pawan Gupta and Dr. Sudhir Sharma graced as the guests of the occasion. Principal Dr. Sareen welcomed all the guests by presenting them planters. Principal Dr. Sareen, in her speech, told about the journey of HMV from Lahore to Jalandhar. While addressing, Dr. Sareen focused upon the achievements of HMV and said that HMV scored A++ in NAAC accreditation with is the highest score among other colleges. Dr. Sareen Said that HMV does not only impart quality education but also inculcate moral values among its’ students. Principal Sareen also made the students aware pertaining to their voting rights. On this eve, Mrs. Kuljit Kaur, from the Department of Punjabi and Mrs. Lovleen Kaur, from the Department of English praised HMV with their poetical recitation. Head Girl of the college presented her views on HMV and shared her experience. On this occasion, member of Teaching, Non-Teaching and Supporting Staff were awarded for rendering 25 years of their service to the institution. On this gala day, the publications HMV Vision, Commerce Insight, Artist and Science Gravity were released by the Department of Journalism and Mass Communication, Commerce, Skill Development, and Science respectively. On this eve, ‘Kartavya @ HMV’, Main Visitor Hall, Sweep, IOT, Happy Hand Outreach, Kaaya,  Environment Protection Ashiana and I Love HMV Life were inaugurated. On this day, Classical dance, Nukkad Natak, with the assistance of Dr. Beenu Gupta, and HMV glory by Student council were presented beautifully. Sh. Atul Mayor sponsored sweets and expressed gratitude to all. Dr. Anjana Bhatia and Dr. Urvashi Mishra were the coordinators who made their great endeavours for making the entire programme successful. On this occasion, members of Teaching, Non-Teaching staff and students were present.
