An awareness
Programme on Cervical Cancer was organized in Hostel of Hans Raj Mahila Maha
Vidyalaya in association with Indian Medical Association (IMA) for the Resident
Scholars. Principal Prof. Dr. (Mrs.) Ajay Sareen welcomed IMA President Dr.
M.S. Bhutani and Secretary Dr. Pooja Kapoor. Principal Dr. Sareen said that it
is necessary to aware young girls about cervical cancer because they are the
future of our nation. They can spread awareness among others and timely action
can be taken. She wished that team of IMA will keep on spreading awareness in
future also. Dr. Bhutani said that two things are most important in everybody’s
life i.e. education and health. Taking care of our health should be our top
priority. The students should clear all their doubts whatever comes to their
mind. Dr. Pooja Kapoor also encouraged resident scholars for clearing all the doubts
regarding health issues. Senior Gynecologist Dr. Satpal Kaur give information
about cancer and told that vaccination to prevent this should be done in time.
Dr. Shobha Sharma and Senior Doctors of Shriman Hospital gave information about
giving First Aid in Emergency situation. Chest specialist Doctor gave
information about lungs related diseases. Coordinator Resident Scholars Dr.
Meenu Talwar presented vote of thanks. An exhibition of posters made by
students was also organized. On this occasion, Advisor Red Cross Society Mrs.
Deepshikha and Hostel staff members were also present.
