Speckled with the colours of a
variety of stalls and the vibrant garbs of the students, the much awaited
Annual Fiesta – The Trade Fair 2025 was organized at Hans Raj Mahila Maha Vidyalaya,
Jalandhar under the inspiring guidance of Principal Prof. Dr. (Mrs.) Ajay
Sareen. The chief guest of the
inauguration of the event was Sh. Vivek Modi, IAS SDM, Adampur. Principal Prof. Dr. (Mrs.) Ajay Sareen
cordially welcomed him along with Justice (Retd.) N. K. Sud, Vice-President
DAVCMC & Chairman Local Advisory Committee by presenting planters. Esteemed
members of the Local Advisory Committee Sh. Kundan Lal Aggarwal & Sh. S.P.
Sehdev were accorded green welcome by Dr. Sangeeta Arora overall Incharge of the event along with Mrs. Meenu
Kohli, Incharge Trade Fair. The event began with the Mangal Tilak and lighting
of the lamp. The chief guest Sh. Vivek Modi, IAS gave his blessings to the
students saying that such events are an integral part of education and enhance
many skills of the students. He declared the Fete open by releasing balloons
carrying the logo of the HMV Fiesta. He
felicitated the teaching and non-teaching staff for the successful organization
of the event. The gratified host Dr. Ajay Sareen formally extended a warm
welcome to the respected guests of the day and prayed to the Almighty to keep
its blessed hand on the institution. She hoped that with the support of DAVCMC
and efforts of dedicated faculty and students, HMV will reach the pinnacle of
its glory. Unfolding the aim behind the trade fair she said that it provides a
real life experience to the commerce students and provides them practical
skills to enter the competitive market and to showcase their talent and hone
their skills. Students of the Dance department
entertained the guest with their traditional performance. The main attractions
of the fair were skill & knowledge point, apparel spot, jewellery joint,
handicraft haat, nail art stall, selfie corner, tambola, health care, beauty
saloons, immigration services, tarot card reading, etc. Large number of stalls were put up and very
good response was received by the participating entrepreneurs. The chief guest
was enthralled to visit all the stalls. Another point of attraction was the DJ
point where songs were played on demand. The guests enjoyed the cultural events
like Giddha and Bhangra. A Fashion Show was also organized on the
occasion. The chief guest of the
occasion was Dr. Mandeep Kaur, Joint Commissioner, Municipal Corporation
Jalandhar, Dr. Pawan Gupta, member LAC & Mrs. Parveen Abrol, Principal S.K.
Gautam. RJ Sandy entertained the audience. Adding to the grandeur of the show
was the presence of eminent singer Fatehveer Singh. He enthralled the audience by his songs. In
the evening session, the chief guest Sh. Vaneet Dhir, Mayor, Municipal
Corporation Jalandhar, Sh. Surendra Seth & Sh. Irwin Khanna, Member Local Advisory
Committee graced the occasion. Principal Dr. Sareen welcomed and honoured the
guests with planters. Various prizes were awarded to the winners. The chief
guest congratulated the winners. Dr. Sangeeta Arora, overall incharge & Dr.
Veena Arora, Co-Incharge, Trade Fair Incharge Mrs. Meenu Kohli thanked the
guests and staff members for the successful conduct of the event. The stage was
conducted by Dr. Anjana Bhatia, Dr. Ramnita Saini Sharda, Mrs. Binoo Gupta and
Mrs. Kuljit Kaur. On this occasion, all the members of teaching and
non-teaching staff were also present.
