Under the able guidance of Principal Prof.
Dr. (Mrs.) Ajay Sareen, Music Vocal Department in collaboration with Student
Council celebrated Basant Panchami festival. Dr. Navroop, Dean Youth Welfare,
Dr. Prem Sagar, Head Music Department and Dr. Urvashi Mishra, Dean Student
Council welcomed the Chief Guests Sh. S.S. Ajmal, Retired Chief Engineer Punjab
State Electricity Board, Dr. Manjeet Singh, Former Program Executive All India
Radio, S. Sukhdeep Singh, Director Anhad Studio, Sh. Gurdip, Flutist and Sh.
Jagmohan, Tabla Artist. Saraswati
Vandana was recited by the students of music department. On this occasion,
Prasadam Sweet Yellow Rice was made and distributed by Student Council among
all faculty members, staff members and students of the college. The teachers
and students of Student Council were wearing yellow clothes and offered flowers
to Maa Saraswati. To celebrate this auspicious day, Sh. Praduman recited a
melodious Bhajan, Raag Hansdhwani and Shabad in Raag Basant recited by Dr. Prem
Sagar, Raag Shudh Sarang played on Flute by Sh. Gurdip, Geet Lo phir Basant
aayi was sung by Miss. Gunjan and Instrumental Departmental Students performed Lok
Geet Guldasta. Principal Prof. Dr. (Mrs.) Ajay Sareen extended warmest
greetings on Basant Panchami and said
this vibrant festival, dedicated to the goddess Saraswati, marks the arrival of
spring and symbolizes knowledge, wisdom, and enlightenment. She also
congratulated Student Council and Music Vocal Department for the successful of
this event. Dr. Navroop, Dean Youth Welfare said we celebrate Basant Panchami,
we also celebrate the power of learning and enlightenment and this festival
reminds us that just as the earth rejuvenates with the arrival of spring, we
too must constantly renew our pursuit of knowledge and creativity. Dr. Prem
Sagar, Head Music Department and Dr. Urvashi Mishra, Dean Student Council
extended heartfelt thanks to all the guests and faculty members. The stage was
conducted by Miss. Gunjan. On this Occasion, superintendents, all faculty
members and students were also present.
