The Budding
Brontes Society of Post Graduate English Department of Hans Raj Mahila Maha
Vidyalaya, Jalandhar organised an Inter-Class Declamation Competition under the
able guidance of Principal Prof. Dr. (Mrs.) Ajay Sareen. Students from various
streams and classes enthusiastically participated in this competition. The
topics covered in the competition were Women’s Leadership & Political
Participation, Ethics of Artificial Intelligence, and Strong Convictions
Precede Great Actions. Around 30 students participated in this competition. The
students displayed their creative abilities. The judges were Mrs. Ritu Bajaj,
Mrs. Lovleen Kaur and Ms. Muskan. Head of English Department Dr. Mamta
encouraged the students to be more sensitive and voice their opinions on
different themes. She encouraged them to become better versions of themselves
through their participation. Principal Prof. Dr. (Mrs.) Ajay Sareen
congratulated the department for organising the event. The participants were
evaluated on their voice modulation, pronunciation & ability to engage the
audience. Jahnvi ( BA-4) got first position, Simranjit ( BA sem-2) got second
position & Srishti Sharma (B.Com Sem 4) got third position. Manpreet Kaur
(BCA Sem -2) & S. Lokeswari (B.A. Sem-2) got the consolation
prizes. E-certificates were awarded to the winners. The in-charge of
The Budding Brontes Society, Mr. Parminder Singh congratulated the winners. On
this occasion, Dr. Ramnita Saini Sharda, Mr. Neeraj Aggarwal and Mrs. Jyoti
Sharma were also present. The event ended on a note of new beginning for the
budding participants.
