On the occasion of
Kargil Vijay Diwas Army Wing cadets of HansRaj Mahila Maha Vidyalaya Jalandher
under the aegis of 2 PB(G ) BN NCC Jalandhar visited Army Aviation Unit. It was
a great learning experience for cadets as the aviation unit showcased their utility
helicopters Cheetah and Chetak. Both helicopters ability to operate at
high altitudes made them a valuable asset during the Kargil War. Cadets were
explained the working of both helicopters. They also saw the take off of
chetak. Lt Sonia Mahindru ANO told that cadets were very excited during the
take off and were highly motivated. Principal Prof. Dr. (Mrs.) Ajay Sareen thanked
Commanding officer Col M.S. Sachdev for arranging the visit, which was a great
exposure for the cadets.
