Freshers’ Party ‘Shubhaarambh-2025’ organized at HMV

Freshers’ Party ‘Shubharambh-2025’ was organized for all the UG first year and PG first year students of Humanities and Skilled Courses in the premises of Hans Raj Mahila Maha Vidyalaya, Jalandhar under the guidance of Principal Prof. Dr. (Mrs.) Ajay Sareen. The event started with lighting of the lamp followed by DAV song. The chief guest of the event, Principal Sareen was welcomed by presenting a green planter to her. The welcome address was delivered by Dr. Ashmeen Kaur. Students organized cultural events and made the environment enthusiastic and full of zest. Young girls participated in modeling, singing, traditional dance and Punjabi Bhangra. Dr. Sangeeta Arora, Mrs. Meenu Kohli and Dr. Saloni Sharma played the role of judges. Under modeling, the students were honoured with various titles. Mehak Bains of UG was selected as Miss Fresher, Jaspreet Kaur as First Runner Up, Vanshita Sharma as Second Runner Up, Sukriti Miglani as Woman of Letters and Riya Badola as Miss Creative. Ritika of PG was selected as Miss Fresher, Kritika Goswami as First Runner Up, Gurpreet as Second Runner Up and Ritika Bhagat as Miss Ethnic. Principal Dr. Ajay Sareen, in her address, blessed the rookie students. She motivated the students to study hard as per the standards of HMV, an Institution with A++ grade. Further, she advised the new buds to attain success through determined mind and by following the honest and true path in life. Moreover, Principal Dr. Ajay Sareen insisted the students to inculcate cultural and moral values in their life and also wished them for their bright future. She also suggested the students to avail the opportunity to do value added courses in addition to the curriculum. She congratulated the organizing team for the program. The entire program was organized under the supervision of Dr. Ashmeen Kaur, Mrs. Ritu Bajaj and Mrs. Navneeta and Dean Student Council Dr. Urvashi. The stage was conducted by the students of the Student Council under the guidance of Mrs. Loveleen Kaur, Mrs. Protima Mander and Mrs. Jyoti Sehgal. On this occasion, all the members of Humanities and Skill Department were present.
