Hans Raj Mahila Maha Vidyalaya observed the
International Day for the Preservation of the Ozone Layer. The program was
organized by the PG Department of Economics with the aim of spreading awareness
about the need to protect the ozone layer and safeguard the environment.
Principal Dr. Ajay Sareen addressed the gathering and inspired students to
adopt sustainable practices, stressing that even small individual steps can
contribute to global change. Students showcased their creativity through
a poster-making competition on the theme “International Day For Ozone Layer
Preservation”. The Judges of the Competition were Dr. Neeru Bharti, Head of PG
Department of Fine Arts, Dr.Shaveta, PG department of Botany, Dr. Shallu Batra,
Head of PG Department of Economics. The first prize goes to Komalpreet Kaur, B.Com
Sem 1 and Gurpreet Kaur BFA Sem 5. The second prize goes to Diksha Kumari, B.Com
Sem 1.The third prize goes to Neha Sharma, B.Com Sem 1. The Consolation Prizes
goes to Aishwarya B.Com FS Sem 1 and Sumanpreet Kaur B.Com FS Sem 1. Dr Shallu
Batra ( Head of PG Department of Economics) motivated students and under her
able guidance the competition was successfully conducted. Other faculty members
Mrs. Jyotika Minhas , Ms. Harmanu , Mrs. Chandrika , Ms. Shruti were also
present. The Planning Forum and its entire team which includes Dhra Mahajan,
Onam, Himani and Jaya managed and organized all the work so efficiently that
competition was conducted successfully. The program concluded with a vote of
thanks. The enthusiastic participation of students and the dedicated efforts of
the Economics Department made the observance meaningful and impactful,
reminding everyone of the shared responsibility to protect the planet.
