Talent Carnival 2025 organised at HMV Collegiate School



 

HMV Collegiate Sr. Sec. School organised Talent Carnival- 2025 to enhance and amplify the talent and skills of young and energetic students of SSC 1 & SSC 2. More than 350 Students of SSC-I and SSC-II utilized this opportunity enthusiastically and showcased their talent pertaining to multiple facets ranging from Declamation Contest, Poem recitation, Sound of Music, Poster and Collage Making Contest, Dance, Nail Art, Mehndi, Art & Rangoli Competition, Photography, Mono Acting  Comedy to Quiz Contest. The Chief Guest of the event was Principal Prof. Dr. (Mrs.) Ajay Sareen.  Dean Academics and School Coordinator  Dr. Seema Marwaha  & Mrs Arvinder Kaur, School Co- Coordinator welcomed the esteemed Chief Guest with a planter. The event was commenced with lamp lighting followed by DAV Gaan.  The dynamic force behind this event Principal Dr. Ajay Sareen expressed her immense pleasure to watch the wonderful performances of the students. She apprised that the aim of organizing such events is to make the students not only academically brilliant but creative thinkers too and this is what HMV stands for to provide life skills to the students so that by the virtue of them they can tackle real life situations effectively and know how to use every ounce of their potential. The students showcased their talent with full zeal and zest. School Coordinator Dr. Seema Marwaha congratulated all the participants and apprised that these co-curricular activities assist the students to inculcate in them artistic qualities, sound communication skills and confidence so that they can become adaptable and productive human beings. She expressed her heartiest thanks to all the judges. Mrs Arvinder Kaur, School Co- Coordinator congratulated all the participants and encourage them to understand their passion and work on it. The declamation contest as well as Poem Recitation was adjudged by  Dr Anjana Bhatia, Incharge IQAC, Dean Innovation & Research and Head, Department of Botany & Dr Jyoti Gogia, Head Department of Hindi in which the students eloquently expressed their oratory skills . In Declamation contest,  Ridham  secured the first position, Diya Vaid Got the second and  Jiya attained the third position. In poem recitation they recited poems spontaneously in which ,Nancy , Dronika and Kashish Paul secured first, second and third positions respectively.  Dr. Anjana Bhatia, and Dr Jyoti Gogia  were the judges of Mono Acting too  in which Nandini got first & Jahnvi got the second position. In Ad- Making Competition, the team Kali kaluti Beauty Queen got the first position. In Quiz Competition, Neha secured  first, Ishneet Kaur second and Ridham secured third position. The sharp acumen in Mehandi competition, Fresh Flower Arrangement, Nail Art and Rangoli Competition was given by  Mrs. Mukti Arora. Sanchi got the first position in Fresh Flower Arrangement.  In Rangoli Competition, Nishtha & Khushi secured the first position . In Mehandi competition, Garima attained the first position, Priya secured the second position and in the third position stood Rose. In Nail Arts Competition, Aeshleen Kaur, Ekroop  Kaur and  kamakshi secured first, second and third positions respectively. Photography competition was assessed by Dr. Rama Sharma, Head of Mass Communication and Journalism Department, in which Sushma secured the first position, Gurbani Kaur  attained the second position and Khushbu attained the third position.  The keen and artistic judgement in Poster Making, Collage making, and Best Out of Waste was given by Dr. Rakhi Mehta, Head BD Department & Mrs Navneeta . In Poster Making, Liza stood first, Loveleen Second and Nandini Sharma stood at the third position.  In Best out of Waste, Harshita, Jaskirat & Nishtha secured first, second and third position respectively. In College Making, khushi stood first, Ridham second and Punita held the third position. The Singing Contest was adjudged by, Dr. Prem Sagar, Head  Music Department, and Mrs Amanpreet in which Aanchal secured first, Sehaj secured second and Nirjla, Krishika & Ritika altogether secured the third position.  The judges of dance competition were Ms Vanita and Ms Lakshita in which  Ridham attained the first position, Giddhe diya Shoukena group secured second and Doabe Diya Jatiyaan group  secured third position.  The stage was conducted by Ms. Sukriti Sharma and the student Furleen. All the members of teaching and non teaching staff were present in the event.
