Hans Raj Mahila Maha Vidyalaya, Jalandhar paid
tribute to Mahatma Hans Raj Ji on his Nirvana Diwas by performing Havan Yajna. He
was a great reformer, a renowned Arya Samaji and the soul behind the inception
of this institution around a century ago. The Havan Yajna was attended by all
the members of teaching and non-teaching staff of the institution. Principal
Dr. (Mrs.) Ekta Khosla said that we should always remember the teachings of
Mahatma Hans Raj Ji. His dedication to modern education, women’s empowerment
and national consciousness left an enduring legacy across India. Swami ji
worked with dedication to empower women through education and that too without
salary. Dr. Mamta, Dean Vedic Studies, in her address, apprised the audience of
the importance of Arya Samaj and DAV and thanked the Almighty to give us the
opportunity to work in such a great institution. Dr. Meenu Talwar said that DAV
institutions are the perfect blend of traditional and modern values. Dr. Prem
Sagar, HOD Music Vocal and Mr. Praduman recited a Bhajan. On this occasion,
Dean Academics Dr. Seema Marwaha, Dean Youth Welfare Dr. Navroop, Dean
Examinations Dr. Gagandeep, IQAC Coordinator Dr. Anjana Bhatia, Superintendent
Accounts Sh. Pankaj Jyoti, Superintendent Admin Sh. Ravi Maini, Superintendent
General Smt. Seema Joshi were also present. After Havan Yajna, Prasad was
distributed. Dr Mamta gave vote of thanks. Stage and Havan was conducted by Dr.
Meenu Talwar. The event concluded with Shanti Path.
