Jalandhar paid tribute to Swami Shradhanand Ji on his Martyrdom Day by
performing Havan Yajna. The Havan was organized under the guidance of Principal
Prof. Dr. (Mrs.) Ekta Khosla and under the aegis of Arya Pradeshik Pratinidhi
Upsabha Punjab and Arya Yuvti Sabha of the college. Swami Ji was a great freedom fighter, social reformer,
fearless journalist, writer and great orator. As Chief Guest, Member IQAC Sh.
Y.K. Sud joined the Yajna. Havan was attended by all the members of teaching
and non-teaching staff. On this occasion, Mrs. Ritu Bajaj expressed her
gratitude towards Swami Ji and said that his personality always inspires us to
be fearless and contribute in the development of our nation. Mrs. Protima
Mander also gave a brief introduction of Swami Ji’s life and said that his life
inspires many of us. Chief Guest Sh. Y.K. Sud said that he is feeling honoured
to be a part of this Havan Yajna. Swami Ji always fought against social evils,
worked for promotion of Vedas, establishment of Gurukul and contributed a lot
in freedom struggle of the nation. Principal Prof. Dr. Mrs. Ekta Khosla said
that Swami Ji’s life is an example of patriotism, social work and promotion of
Vedic Values. She said that young generation should take inspiration from his
life. She expressed her gratitude towards the guest and HMV family for being a
part of this occasion. On this occasion, Dr. Navroop, Dr. Seema Marwaha, Dr.
Saloni Sharma, Dr. Meenu Talwar and all members were present.
