Hans
Raj Mahila Maha Vidyalaya is a pioneer institution in innovation. The college has achieved newer heights under
the able guidance of Principal
Prof. Dr. (Mrs.) Ajay Sareen. Under the innovative practices, the college
has installed Insinators and vending machines in the campus. Addressing a press meet, Principal Prof. Dr. (Mrs.) Ajay Sareen
told that ‘Padman’ movie is released this month only, but we have installed
Insinators in every washroom of the college 8 months before. There are 27 washrooms sets in college and
hostel and every washroom has Insinator.
The college has installed two vending machines too. It is a device which destroys the waste
electronically and converts it into ash.
This ash is further used in garden.
In this way, college is helping Municipal Corporation too in maintaining
clear sewage system. She said that awareness
campaigns are also being organized time to time for awareness of girls on
personal hygiene.
College
is organizing Helmet Awareness Rally on 27th Feb. in which around
6000 students will participate. This
rally will be included in Guinness Book of World Records. Its motive is to aware the students about the
importance of Helmet.
Principal
Dr. Sareen said that the college had celebrated last year Diwali as Green
Diwali in which around 4000 students had exchanged plants. For this innovation, the district
administration had awarded Principal Dr. Sareen during Republic Day
function. The college has also
maintained Bird Houses for birds.
Organic Rakhi was also celebrated in the campus in which a seed was
given in every Rakhi. This seed was a
symbol of love of brother-sister. The
administrative office of the college is also paperless and work is done
online. The college has started start up
science lab which was appreciated by Municipal Corporation. In this lab, some projects are being done for
the testing of water. In addition, the
students of Chemistry department are also doing some projects on tyres under
Dr. Ekta Khosla.
The
college also organizes Havan for Non teaching staff and students. Recycling Unit has also been installed in the
campus through which file covers and gift items are made by students with
recycled paper. Local administration has
also contacted the college for recycling their waste paper. The college has also applied in GNDU for 8
