The
PG department of Mathematics of Hans Raj Mahila Maha Vidyalaya organized a
departmental event on the eve of p
day. Two Inter Class
competitions were organized which were Poster Presentation on Application of Mathematics
in two Dimensional Plane and Mathematical Jewellery. Students made two dimensional posters in
application of Mathematics in Nature, Robotic, Fashion Designing, Aircraft,
Music, etc. The mathematical jewellery
was made using basic concept of maths, logic and shapes.
There
were also two mathematical games named ‘word on repeat’ and ‘whose word am I?’
Students showed their good command in Maths during the games. The judges of the competition were Mrs.
Rakesh Uppal, Head of Physics Deptt., Mrs. Jyoti Kaul, Head Chemistry Deptt.,
Dr. Sangeeta Arora, Head Comp. Sc. Deptt. and Mrs. Gagandeep, Head Maths
Deptt. In Poster Presentation Samanta
Rana got first prize, Vishali got second prize, Komal got third prize and
Prabhjot Kaur got consolation prize. In
Mathematical jewellery competition, Sonia got first prize, Harinder got second
prize, Roshni got third prize and consolation prize was given to Ravinderdeep
and Kanupriya. Principal Prof. Dr.
(Mrs.) Ajay Sareen appreciated the efforts of the department. Offg. Principal and Head Deptt. of Sports
Mrs. Sudershan Kang gave the prizes to the winners. On this occasion, all the students and
teachers of Mathematics department were present.
