Rukhsat – 2018 organized at HMV






Camouflaging their mixed feelings in the best of attires the outgoing students of UG classes jubilantly attended the farewell party ‘Rukhsat-2018’ organized at Hans Raj Mahila Maha Vidyalaya under the able guidance of Principal Prof. Dr. (Mrs.) Ajay Sareen.  The function began with the ceremonial lighting of lamp by Principal Dr. Sareen, Dr. Kanwaldeep Kaur, Dean Academics and HOD Commerce, Mrs. Urvashi, Dean Student Council, Mrs. Navroop, Dean Youth Welfare, Mrs. Mamta, Dean Publications, Mrs. Rakesh Uppal HOD Physics, Mrs. Kuljeet Kaur, Dean Holistic Growth, Mrs. Veena Arora, Co-Dean Youth Welfare and Miss Shallu Batra, Dean Student Support Services.  It was followed by DAV Gaan.
Addressing the students, Principal Prof. Dr. (Mrs.) Ajay Sareen told about the glorious history of DAV organization which has more than 1000 institutions and 44 lakhs students to its credit at present.  She conveyed best wishes to the students for moving successfully in different fields and ensured support and guidance to them in future as well.  She said that the teachers have tried their utmost to groom the students into confident professionals, ready to face the challenges of the real world.  Upholding the philosophy of Swami Dayanand Saraswati, Mahatma Hans Raj and Padmashri Dr. Punam Suri at present the institute endevours to give a transparent and clean image to the society.  She also thanked the parents for choosing HMV for the education of their wards.
The students put up an exuberant show by performing dances and bhangra.  Awarded with ‘Facebook of Year’ Km. Gurkanwal sang a beautiful Punjabi song.  The judges of the modelling round were Dr. Rakhi Mehta, Mrs. Mukti Arora, Mrs. Lovleen Kaur and Ms. Rani Chandi.  They adjudged Km. Amisha Bhanot as Ms. HMV, Km. Navjot Kaur as first runners up and Km. Jaspreet Kaur as second runners up.  The title of Ms. Ethnic was given to Km. Manmeet Kaur, Ms. Techie to Km. Jessica Singh, Ms. Professional to Km. Simranpreet Kaur, Ms. Gravity to Km. Navya Rana, Ms. Matrix to Km. Rumi Pathania, Ms. Creativity to Km.Mehak and Ms. Dancing Doll to Km. Meenakshi Mahajan.
Km. Gitanjali, Km. Radha, Km. Mansi and Km. Navdeep expressed their heartfelt thanks to the Principal and faculty members for infusing a new life into them. The stage was conducted by Km. Priyanka Marwaha and Km. Gulfam Virdi under the guidance of Dr. Nidhi Bal.  Towards the end the students of first year classes handed over the light of knowledge – ‘Gyan Jyoti’ to the students of second year.
