One day workshop on Evolution organized at HMV

Department of Zoology organized one day seminar on Evolution in the premises of Hans Raj Mahila Maha Vidyalaya under the able guidance of Principal Prof. Dr. (Mrs.) Ajay Sareen.  The guest and main speaker of the day was Prof. Dr. Anish Dua, GNDU Amritsar.   Dr. Anish Dua was welcomed by Principal Prof. Dr. (Mrs.) Ajay Sareen and Dr. Seema Marwaha, Head Zoology Deptt. with a planter.  During his talk on the topic he enlightened the students with the mystery lying behind the process of evolution i.e. the change in the gene frequency of the different species on earth.  He emphasized that in the past few people like Darwin, Wallace and Malthus had the wisdom who attempted to explain the mechanism of evolution through Natural Selection Genetic Drift, Mutation, Inbreeding etc. when all these evolutionary forces goes on ultimate; they cause speciation.  He emphasized to be a seeker as the students should pick up the skill to develop the domain of observation.  In the end our guest were presented a beautiful painting.  Vote of thanks was given by Dr. Seema Marwaha.  Stage was conducted by Dr. Sakshi Verma.  Dr. Neelam Sharma, Dr. Anjana Bhatia, Mrs. Saloni Sharma, Dr. Harpreet Singh, Ms. Avantika Randev and Ms. Anchal Bawa, Mr.Sachin and Mr. Amit were also present on this occasion.

ਹੰਸਰਾਜ ਮਹਿਲਾ ਮਹਾਂਵਿਦਿਆਲਾ ‘ਚ ਜੀਵ ਵਿਗਿਆਨ ਵਿਭਾਗ ਵਲੋਂ ਵਿਕਸਾਵਾਦੀ ਜੀਵ ਵਿਗਿਆਨ ਤੇ ਇਕ ਦਿਨ ਦੇ ਸੈਮੀਨਾਰ ਦਾ ਆਯੋਜਨ ਕਾਲਜ ਪਿੰ੍ਰਸੀਪਲ ਡਾ. ਅਜੈ ਸਰੀਨ ਦੇ ਦਿਸ਼ਾਨਿਰਦੇਸ਼ ਵਿਚ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ। ਇਸ ਮੌਕੇ ਦੇ ਵਿਸ਼ੇਸ਼ ਅਵਸਰ ਤੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਨਾਨਕ ਦੇਵ ਯੂਨੀਵਰਸਿਟੀ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰੌ. ਡਾੱ. ਅਨਿਸ਼ ਦੂਆ ਹਾਜਿਰ ਹੋਏ।ਪਿੰ੍ਰਸੀਪਲ ਡਾ. ਅਜੈ ਸਰੀਨ ਅਤੇ ਵਿਭਾਗ ਦੀ ਮੁੱਖ ਡਾੱ. ਸੀਮਾ ਮਰਵਾਹਾ ਵਲੋਂ ਉਨਾਂ ਦਾ ਨਿਘਾ ਸਵਾਗਤ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ। ਇਸ ਮੌਕੇ ਤੇ ਗਲਬਾਤ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਉਨਾਂ ਨੇ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥਣਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸਮਾਜ ਵਿਚ ਵੱਖਵੱਖ ਪ੍ਰਜਾਤੀਆਂ ਦੀ ਅਵ੍ਰਤੀ ਵਿਚ ਆ ਰਹੇ ਬਦਲਾਵਾਂ ਦੇ ਰਹਿਸਯ ਨੂੰ ਉਜਾਗਰ ਕੀਤਾ। ਉਨਾਂ ਪ੍ਰਸਿਧ ਵਿਦਵਾਨਾਂ ਡਾਰਵਿਨ, ਮਾਥਸ ਅਤੇ ਵੇਲਸ ਦਾ ਉਦਹਾਰਨ ਦੇਂਦੇ ਹੋੲ ਪ੍ਰਾਕਤਿਕ ਚਯਨ, ਅਨੁਵਂਸ਼ਿਕ ਬਹਾਵ, ਉਤਪਰਿਵਰਤਨ, ਇਨਬ੍ਰੀਡਿੰਗ ਆਦਿ ਦੇ ਬਾਰੇ ਦੱਸਦਿਆਂ ਹੋਇਆ ਵਿਕਾਸ ਤੰਤਰ ਅਤੇ ਆਉਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਪਰਿਵਰਤਨ ਦੀ ਵਿਆਖਿਆ ਕੀਤੀ। ਉਨਾਂ ਆਪਨੇ ਵਿਚਾਰਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥਣਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਮੰਤਰਮੁਗਧ ਕਰਨ ਦਾ ਸਫਲ ਯਤਨ ਕੀਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਵਿਕਸਾਵਾਦੀ ਪਰਿਵਰਤਨ ਤੇ ਵਿਚਾਰ ਵਿਅਕਤ ਕੀਤੇ। ਇਸ ਅਵਸਰ ਤੇ ਮੰਚ ਸੰਚਾਲਨ ਡਾੱ. ਸਾਕਸ਼ੀ ਨੇ ਕੀਤਾ। ਅੰਤ ਵਿਚ ਡਾੱ. ਸੀਮਾ ਮਰਵਾਹਾ ਨੇ ਮੁੱਖ ਮਹਿਮਾਨ ਦਾ ਧਨਵਾਦ ਕੀਤਾ।  ਇਸ ਮੌਕੇ ਤੇ ਡਾੱ. ਨੀਲਮ ਸ਼ਰਮਾ, ਸ਼੍ਰੀਮਤੀ ਸਲੋਨੀ ਸ਼ਰਮਾ, ਡਾੱ. ੳੰਜਨਾ ਭਾਟੀਆ, ਸ਼੍ਰੀ ਹਰਪ੍ਰੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ, ਕੁਮਾਰੀ ਅਵਤਿਕਾ, ਆਂਚਲ, ਸ਼੍ਰੀ ਅਮਿਤ ਅਤੇ ਸਚਿਨ ਵੀ ਮੌਜੂਦ ਸਨ।
