Prof. Mohan Singh, ‘Kavita Diwas’ organized at HMV

The PG Department of Punjabi of Hans Raj Mahila Maha Vidyalaya organized ‘Prof. Mohan Singh, Kavita Diwas’ in collaboration with Punjab Sahit Academy under the able guidance of Principal Prof. Dr. (Mrs.) Ajay Sareen.  Principal Prof. Dr. (Mrs.) Ajay Sareen welcomed chief guest of the occasion Mrs. Artinder Sandhu, Editor Sahitak Ekam, Amritsar.  She praised Mrs. Sandhu for her contribution towards Punjabi literature and persuaded students to read and write literature.  Mrs. Navroop Kaur, Head Punjabi Deptt. welcomed Mrs. Artinder Sandhu and introduced her by the PPT.  She also thanked Mrs. Sandhu on behalf of Coordinator of Punjabi Sahit Academy and defined her as the inspiration who is dedicated to literature.  On this occasion, students sang and recited the creations of Prof. Mohan Singh.  The participants were Manpreet Kaur, Varanjeet, Twinkle, Sanjamjeet, Baldeep and Simran.  Mrs. Veena Arora also gave intense knowledge about the life and creations of Prof. Mohan Singh.  Mrs. Artinder Sandhu also spoke about her journey in the field of literature to the students and shared her experiences with students.  The competitions on Poster making, One-act play and Calligraphy dedicated to Prof. Mohan brought awards to the students.  The entire programme was organized and handled by Mrs. Kuljeet Kaur.  Mrs. Kuljeet Kaur told the student about the writings of Artinder Sandhu and she also focused upon the poems written by Prof. Mohan Singh.  Ms. Manpreet and Ms. Jaswinder Kaur of the department also gave their views on the life of Prof. Mohan Singh.  Vote of thanks was given by Mrs. Satinder Kaur.  On this occasion, Poster making competition was also organized and winners were awarded with certificates.  Mrs. Poonam Sharma, Ms. Harmanpreet, Dr. Sandeep Kaur, Dr. Harpreet were also present.

ਹੰਸ ਰਾਜ ਮਹਿਲਾ ਮਹਾਂ ਵਿਦਿਆਲਿਆ, ਜਲੰਧਰ ਦੇ ਪੋਸਟ ਗ੍ਰੈਜੂਏਟ ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਵਿਭਾਗ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਪ੍ਰਿੰਸੀਪਲ ਪ੍ਰੋ. ਡਾ. (ਸ਼੍ਰੀਮਤੀ) ਅਜੇ ਸਰੀਨ ਦੇ ਦਿਸ਼ਾ ਨਿਰਦੇਸ਼ ਹੇਠ ਪ੍ਰੋ. ਮੋਹਨ ਸਿੰਘ ਕਵਿਤਾ ਦਿਵਸ ਦਾ ਆਯੋਜਨ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ। ਇਸ ਪ੍ਰੋਗਰਾਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਸਾਹਿਤ ਅਕਾਦਮੀ ਦੇ ਸਹਿਯੋਗ ਵੀ ਲਿਆ ਗਿਆ। ਕਾਲਜ ਪ੍ਰਿੰਸੀਪਲ ਨੇ ਇਸ ਸਮਾਗਮ ਦੇ ਮੁੱਖ ਮਹਿਮਾਨ ਸ਼੍ਰੀਮਤੀ ਅਰਤਿੰਦਰ ਸੰਧੂ (ਸੰਪਾਦਕ ਸਾਹਿਤਕ ਏਕਮ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤਸਰ) ਦਾ ਨਿੱਘਾ ਸਵਾਗਤ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਸ਼੍ਰੀਮਤੀ ਸੰਧੂ ਦੇ ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਸਾਹਿਤ ਨੂੰ ਦਿੱਤੇ ਨਿਘੱਰ ਯੋਗਦਾਨ ਦੀ ਸ਼ਲਾਘਾ ਕਰਦਿਆਂ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥਣਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸਾਹਿਤ ਪੜ੍ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਲਿਖਣ ਦੀ ਪ੍ਰੇਰਨਾ ਦਿੱਤੀ। ਸ਼੍ਰੀਮਤੀ ਨਵਰੂਪ (ਮੁਖੀ ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਵਿਭਾਗ) ਨੇ ਸ਼੍ਰੀਮਤੀ ਅਰਤਿੰਦਰ ਸੰਧੂ ਨੂੰ ਨਿੱਘੀ ਜੀ ਆਇਆਂ ਕਹਿੰਦਿਆਂ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਜਾਣ ਪਛਾਣ ਇੱਕ ਪੀ.ਪੀ.ਟੀ ਦੇ ਰੂਪ ਵਿੱਚ ਪੇਸ਼ ਕੀਤੀ। ਉਹਨਾਂ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਸਾਹਿਤ ਅਕਾਦਮੀ ਦੇ ਕੋਆਰਡੀਨੇਟਰ ਵੱਜੋਂ ਵੀ ਸ਼੍ਰੀਮਤੀ ਸੰਧੂ ਦਾ ਧੰਨਵਾਦ ਕੀਤਾ ਤੇ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰੇਰਨਾ ਦਾਇਕ ਸ਼ਖਸੀਅਤ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਜੋ ਸਾਹਿਤ ਅਤੇ ਸੰਪਾਦਨ ਨੂੰ ਸਮਰਪਿਤ ਹੈ। ਇਸ ਮੌਕੇ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥਣਾਂ ਨੇ ਪ੍ਰੋ. ਮੋਹਨ ਸਿੰਘ ਦੀਆਂ ਰਚਨਾਵਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਗਾ ਕੇ ਅਤੇ ਉਚਾਰਣ ਕਰਕੇ ਪੇਸ਼ ਕੀਤਾ। ਇਹਨਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਮਨਪ੍ਰੀਤ ਕੌਰ, ਸਜਮਜੀਤ, ਵਰਨਜੀਤ, ਟਵਿੰਕਲ, ਰਮਨਦੀਪ, ਬਲਦੀਪ ਅਤੇ ਸਿਮਰਨ ਨੇ ਭਾਗ ਲਿਆ। ਸ਼੍ਰੀਮਤੀ ਵੀਨਾ ਅਰੋੜਾ ਨੇ ਪ੍ਰੋ. ਮੋਹਨ ਸਿੰਘ ਦੇ ਜੀਵਨ ਅਤੇ ਰਚਨਾ ਬਾਰੇ ਭਰਪੂਰ ਜਾਣਕਾਰੀ ਦਿਤੀ। ਸ਼੍ਰੀਮਤੀ ਅਰਤਿੰਦਰ ਸੰਧੂ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਸਾਹਿਤਕ ਸਫ਼ਰ ਬਾਰੇ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥਣਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਜਾਣਕਾਰੀ ਦਿੱਤੀ। ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੀਆਂ ਕਾਵਿ ਰਚਨਾਵਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਵੀ ਜਾਣੂ ਕਰਵਾਇਆ। ਕਵਿਤਾਵਾਂ ਸੁਣਾ ਕੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਜੀਵਨ ਦੇ ਬਹੁਤ ਸਾਰੇ ਅਨੁਭਵ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥਣਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਸਾਂਝੇ ਕੀਤੇ। ਇਸ ਮੌਕੇ ਪ੍ਰੋ. ਮੋਹਨ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੂੰ ਸਮਰਪਿਤ ਪੋਸਟਰ ਮੇਕਿੰਗ ਇਕਾਂਗੀ ਲਿਖਤ ਅਤੇ ਸੁੰਦਰ ਲਿਖਤ ਮੁਕਾਵਲਿਆਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਜੇਤੂ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥਣਾੰ ਨੂੰ ਇਨਾਮ ਵੀ ਵੰਡੇ ਗਏ। ਸ਼੍ਰੀਮਤੀ ਕੁਲਜੀਤ ਕੌਰ (ਇੰਚਾਰਜ ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਸਾਹਿਤ ਸਭਾ) ਨੇ ਸ਼੍ਰੀਮਤੀ ਸੰਧੂ ਦੇ ਜੀਵਨ ਤੇ ਰਚਨਾ ਤੋਂ ਪਾਠਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਜਾਣੂ ਕਰਵਾਉਂਦਿਆਂ ਪ੍ਰੋ. ਮੋਹਨ ਸਿੰਘ ਦੀਆਂ ਕਾਵਿ ਰਚਨਾਵਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਜੀਵਨ ਸਫ਼ਰ ਤੋਂ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥਣਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਜਾਣੂ ਕਰਵਾਉਂਦਿਆਂ ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਵਿਭਾਗ ਦੇ ਅਸਿਸਟੈਂਟ ਪ੍ਰੋਫੇਸਰ ਮਨਪ੍ਰੀਤ ਕੌਰ ਅਤੇ ਜਸਵਿੰਦਰ ਕੌਰ ਨੇ ਵੀ ਆਪਣੇ ਵਿਚਾਰ ਪੇਸ਼ ਕੀਤੇ। ਅੰਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਪ੍ਰੋ. ਸਤਿੰਦਰ ਨੇ ਮੁੱਖ ਮਹਿਮਾਨ ਦਾ ਧੰਨਵਾਦ ਕੀਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਅਜਿਹੇ ਪ੍ਰੋਗਰਾਮਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥਣਾਂ ਲਈ ਲਾਹੇਵੰਦ ਦੱਸਿਆ। ਇਸ ਪ੍ਰੋਗਰਾਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਵਿਭਾਗ ਦਾ ਸਮੁੱਚਾ ਸਟਾਫ ਪ੍ਰੋ. ਪੂਨਮ ਸ਼ਰਮਾ, ਹਰਮਨਪ੍ਰੀਤ, ਪ੍ਰਭਜੋਤ , ਡਾ. ਸੰਦੀਪ ਅਤੇ ਡਾ. ਹਰਪ੍ਰੀਤ ਕੌਰ ਹਾਜ਼ਰ ਸਨ।  ਮੰਚ ਸੰਚਾਲਨ ਪ੍ਰੋ. ਕੁਲਜੀਤ ਕੌਰ ਨੇ ਕੀਤਾ।
