National Mathematics Day celebrated at HMV

The PG Deptt. of Mathematics of Hans Raj Mahila Maha Vidyalaya organized Poster Presentation competition on National Mathematics Day.  The themes were ‘Indian Mathematics’, ‘Mathematics for Life’ and ‘Applications of Mathematics’.  The students of Graduation, Post graduation and Collegiate School presented beautiful posters on these themes.  In Collegiate category, Km. Vaishanvi of SSC I Arts got first prize, Km. Muktanksha of SSC II Non Medical got second prize and Km. Kajal of SSC II Non Medical got third prize. 

In college category, Km. Swati of B.Sc. Non Medical Sem. V and Km. Samanta Rana of M.Sc. Mathematics Sem. III got first prize, Km. Tamanna of BCA Sem. got second prize, Km. Harneet Kaur of B.Sc. Comp.Sc. Sem. I and Km. Harvinderjit Kaur of B.Sc. Eco. Sem. I got third prize, Km. Aanchal of B.Sc. Comp.Sc. Sem. I and Km. Garima of B.Sc. Comp.Sc. Sem. V got consolation prize.  The judges were Mrs. Kuljit Kaur, Dean Holistic, Mrs. Saloni Sharma, HOD Physics, Ms. Shallu Batra, HOD Economics, Ms. Shama Sharma, HOD Fine Arts and Mrs. Gagandeep, HOD Mathematics.  Principal Prof. Dr. (Mrs.) Ajay Sareen appreciated the efforts of Mathematics Deptt.  The winners were awarded by Dean Academics Dr. Kanwaldeep Kaur.  On this occasion, faculty members of Mathematics department, Ms. Deepali, Ms. Kanwalpreet, Ms. Kajal, Ms. Deepika were also present.

ਹੰਸਰਾਜ ਮਹਿਲਾ ਮਹਾਵਿਦਿਆਲਾਦੇ ਗਣਿਤ ਦੇ ਪੀਜੀ ਵਿਭਾਗ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਰਾਸ਼ਟਰੀ ਗਣਿਤ ਦਿਵਸ ਦੇ ਮੌਕੇ ਤੇ ਪੋਸਟਰ ਪ੍ਰੇਜੇਂਟੇਸ਼ਨ ਮੁਕਾਬਲੇ ਦਾ ਆਯੋਜਨ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ। ਪੋਸਟਰ ਪ੍ਰੇਜੇਂਟੇਸ਼ਨ ਦੀ ਥੀਮ 'ਚ “ਭਾਰਤੀ ਗਣਿਤ” “ਜੀਵਨ ਦੇ ਲਈ ਗਣਿਤ” ਅਤੇ “ਗਣਿਤ ਦੀ ਏਪਲੀਕੇਸ਼ਨ” ਵਰਗੇ ਵਿਸ਼ੇ ਸ਼ਾਮਿਲ ਸਨ। ਇਸ ਮੁਕਾਬਲੇ 'ਚ ਪੀਜੀ, ਯੂਜੀ ਅਤੇ ਕਾਲਜੀਏਟ ਸਕੂਲ ਦੇ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਭਾਗ ਲਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਬਹੁਤ ਸੁੰਦਰ ਪੋਸਟਰ ਪੇਸ਼ ਕੀਤੇ। +1 ਆਰਟਸ ਦੀ ਵੈਸ਼ਨਵੀ ਨੇ ਪਹਿਲਾ ਇਨਾਮ, +2 ਨਾੱਨ ਮੈਡਿਕਲ ਦੀ ਮੁਕਤਾਂਸ਼ਾ ਨੇ ਦੂਜੇ ਅਤੇ ਕਾਜਲ ਨੇ ਤੀਜਾ ਇਨਾਮ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕੀਤਾ। ਬੀਐਸਸੀ ਨਾੱਨ ਮੈਡਿਕਲ ਸਮੈ.5 ਦੀ ਸਵਾਤੀ ਤੇ ਐਮ.ਐਸ.ਸੀ ਸਮੈ.3 ਦੀ ਸਮਾਨਤਾ ਰਾਣਾ ਨੇ ਪਹਿਲਾ ਇਨਾਮ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕੀਤਾ। ਬੀਐਸਸੀ ਸਮੈ.1 ਦੀ ਤਮੱਨਾ ਨੇ ਦੂਜਾ ਇਨਾਮ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕੀਤਾ। ਬੀਐਸਸੀ (ਕੰਪਿਉਟਰ ਸਾਇੰਸ) ਸਮੈ.1 ਦੀ ਹਰਨੀਤ ਕੌਰ ਤੇ ਬੀਐਸਸੀ (ਅਰਥਸ਼ਾਸਤਰ) ਸਮੈ.1  ਦੀ ਹਰਵਿਦੰਰਜੀਤ ਨੇ ਤੀਜਾ ਸਥਾਨ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕੀਤਾ। ਬੀਐਸਸੀ (ਕੰਪਿਉਟਰ ਸਾਇੰਸ) ਸਮੈ.1 ਦੀ ਆਂਚਲ ਤੇ ਸਮੈ.5 ਦੀ ਗਰਿਮਾ ਨੂੰ ਸਾਂਤਵਨਾ ਇਨਾਮ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਗਿਆ। ਜੱਜ ਦੀ ਭੂਮਿਕਾ ਡੀਨ ਹੋਲਿਸਟਿਕ ਸ਼੍ਰੀਮਤੀ ਕੁਲਜੀਤ ਕੌਰ, ਸ਼੍ਰੀਮਤੀ ਸਲੋਨੀ ਸ਼ਰਮਾ, ਸੁਸ਼੍ਰੀ ਸ਼ਾਲੂ ਬੱਤਰਾ, ਸੁਸ਼੍ਰੀ ਸ਼ਮਾ ਸ਼ਰਮਾ ਅਤੇ ਸ਼੍ਰੀਮਤੀ ਗਗਨਦੀਪ ਨੇ ਨਿਭਾਈ। ਪ੍ਰਿੰਸੀਪਲ ਪ੍ਰੋ. ਡਾ. (ਸ਼੍ਰੀਮਤੀ) ਅਜੇ ਸਰੀਨ ਨੇ ਵਿਭਾਗ ਦੀ ਕੋਸ਼ਿਸ਼ ਦੀ ਪ੍ਰਸ਼ੰਸਾ ਕੀਤੀ। ਜੇਤੂਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਕਾਲਜਕਾਰੀ ਪ੍ਰਿੰਸੀਪਲ ਤੇ ਡੀਨ ਅਕਾਦਮਿਕ ਡਾ. ਕੰਵਲਦੀਪ ਕੌਰ ਨੇ ਸਨਮਾਨਿਤ ਕੀਤਾ। ਇਸ ਮੌਕੇ ਤੇ ਗਣਿਤ ਵਿਭਾਗ ਤੋਂ ਦੀਪਾਲੀ, ਕੰਵਲਪ੍ਰੀਤ ਕੌਰ, ਕਾਜਲ ਤੇ ਦੀਪਿਕਾ ਵੀ ਮੌਜੂਦ ਸਨ।
