The IQAC Cell DDU Kaushal Kendra of Hans Raj Mahila Maha Vidalaya
organised a one day Hands-on-Training Workshop on modern office
Practices (MOP) for Non-Teaching staff members of various colleges. The Chief
Guest of the occasion was Sh. Arvind Ghai, Secretary, DAVCMC, New Delhi.
Principal Prof. Dr. (Mrs.) Ajay Sareen welcomed him and the participants. In
her welcome address, she said that it is the Ist workshop of its kind. It is
the Ist initiative which has been taken by HMV for non-teaching staff members.
Coordinator of the workshop & Dean Academics Dr.(Mrs.) Kanwaldeep Kaur gave introduction of the programme and
said that in order to be successful we need to sharpen our tools, techniques
& skills, teaching & non-teaching, both are important pillars of an
institution. The objective of this programme is to update new skills with IT
tools. The resource person, Ms. Neetu Bhardwaj from 3D Zone told the participants
about Corel Draw, Graphics, Vectors and tools. She gave development session of
visiting cards, letter heads, basic brochures etc. Ms. Sonia Mahendru, Ms. Rani
Chandi, Ms. Sakshi told about MS Office including MS word, MS Excel, PPT &
all basic formatting, Mr. Ashish & Mr. Rishabh Dhir told about Leave
Management System & Mobile Applications. Total 46, non-teaching members
from various colleges participated in the workshop. Vote of thanks & report
of the programme was presented by organizing Secretary Dr. (Mrs.) Ekta Khosla.
