A spectacular close to the India-Indonesia Sangam at HMV

Hans Raj Mahila Maha Vidyalaya organized a three day unique Indonesia-India Sanggam 2019 in association with Ashmram Gandhi Puri Bali to celebrate 150^th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi and 70 years of India-Indonesia ties. The unique cultural Sangam concluded on a vibrant note with the mesmerizing cultural extravaganza organized under the dynamic guidance of Principal Prof. Dr. (Mrs.) Ajay Sareen and co-ordination of Dr. Ramnita Saini Sharda. Principal Dr. Ajay Sareen, Dr. Ramnita Saini Sharda , Mrs. Navroop, Dr. Ashmeen and Mrs. Kuljit extended a green welcome to the guest of the occasion Mr. Y.K. Sud and Dr. Agus Indra Udayana, Founder and Chairman Ashram Gandhi Puri.

Expressing warm wishes Dr. Ajay Sareen welcomed the guests and the delegates. Complimenting the simplicity and gracefulness of the delegates she said that their appearance and demeanour is the reflection of the Gandhian Philosophy of simple living and high thinking. She felt honoured to host them and looked forward for an enduring association. She also thanked them for the offer of student faculty exchange programme. Dr. Ramnita Saini Sharda also commended the elegance, humility, discipline and talent exhibited by the group. Their love and respect for the values have left an indelible mark and set an example to be followed.

Dr. Agus Indra began his address with a prayer to the parents and enunciated the contribution of women with special reference to Kasturba Bai. He communicated his views on the power of prayer and discipline in life. He also apprised on the culture of Bali and remarked that they learnt a great deal during these three days.

Their miraculous performance depicting the Indonesian culture provided a scintillating treat  to the senses and left the audience spell-bound.

Mr. Y.K. Sud offered heartfelt wishes to the delegates and students and detailed about the glorious achievements of the institution. The institution honoured Dr. Agus Indra Udayana with the Mahatma Anand Swamy Global Peace Award. The members of the delegation were presented with Angavastras, certificates and mementos.

Ashram Gandhi Puri honoured Principal Prof. Dr. (Mrs.) Ajay Sareen with Mahatma Gandhi Award Global Peace 2019 for her dedication in promoting the Gandhian ideal of truth, non-violence, universal brotherhood and humanitarian services. They also honoured Dr. Ramnita Saini with Mahatma Gandhi Global Cultural Integration Award for her contribution in connecting the youth across the boundaries.

The delegation had a fruitful interaction with the students on Gandhian Values. The three day event remained remarkable in give and take of cultural values across the countries. The stage was conducted by Dr. Anjana Bhatia. The members of faculty and staff graced the occasion with their presence.
