HMV Celebrated World Tourism Day with Indonesia-India Sanggam


Recognizing its responsibility towards the society, Hans Raj Mahila Maha Vidyalaya remains dynamic in mobilizing efforts to address a range of social needs. Aiming to promote peace, integrity, harmony and brotherhood at national as well as international level HMV celebrated the World Tourism Day in association with Indonesia-India Sanggam. A delegation  of eight prominent personalities led by Mr. Agus Indra Udayana, Founder and Chairman Ashram Gandhi Puri Indonesia  including Mr. Bali and Miss Bali, an International Yoga Champion and a professional choreographer visited the campus to form a part of the celebrations of 70 years of India-Indonesia ties and 150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi. A visit to heritage city was organised for the delegates under the guidance of Principal Prof. Dr. (Mrs.) Ajay Sareen and co-ordination of Dr. Ramnita Saini Sharda. The group paid obeisance at Golden Temple, the prominent pilgrimage site of worship for people from all walks of life and faith. They also visited Jallian Wala Bagh and learnt about the saga of great Indian sacrifices for freedom. The delegates witnessed the political fervour and zeal at the retreat on Wagah Border. The group included 28 students, eight ambassadors of Indonesia culture led by Mr. Sushil Kumar and accompanied by Mrs. Protima, Mr. Jitender and Mr. Vidhu. The students and delegates interacted over cultural values and traditions of their respective countries.
