Indonesia - India Sanggam 2019 Organized in HMV


Commemorating the phenomenal contribution of the 'Father of Nation Mahatma Gandhi', Hans Raj Mahila Maha Vidyalaya and Ashram Gandhi Puri Bali Indonesia, celebrated 150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi and 70 years of Indonesia and Indian diplomatic relations in a three day episode entitled Indonesia - India  Sanggam 2019. The confluence was organized under the vibrant directions of Principal Prof. Dr. (Mrs.) Ajay Sareen and masterly coordinated by Dr. Ramnita Saini Sharda, Dean Innovation. A delegation of eight prominent persons led by Agus Indra Udayana Chairman Indo-Bali Sanggam visited the campus to form a part of the celebrations. Mr. Agus Indra is actively engaged in promoting Gandhian values in Indonesia through his four ashrams. Principal Prof. Dr. (Mrs.) Ajay Sareen, Dr. Ramnita Saini Sharda, , Mrs. Navroop and Dr. Ashmeen, Mrs. Meenakshi Sayal extended a warm welcome to the delegation.
Principal Prof. Dr. (Mrs.) Ajay Sareen extended a heartfelt welcome and reiterated the idea that such joint efforts help to promote peace and harmony in the world. Dr. Ramnita Saini apprised the delegates of the glorious achievements of Hans Raj  Mahila Maha Vidyalaya. She expressed the hope that this venture will embark on a new chapter in Indo-Bali relations. 
Addressing the gathering in a lecture on Gandhian thought hosted by Gandhian study circle, Mr. Agus Indra Udayana detailed about the philosophy and ideology of Mahatma Gandhi. He motivated the students to take inspiration from Gandhiji's life and inculcate his values. He emphasized on the role of women in society and the respect we ought to give them. Full of positive energy he urged the students to rejoice and never feel depressed. He inspired them to direct their thoughts into doing something valuable for the society. He also delivered some tips on meditation and relaxing the mind.
Dr. Kulnaz gave the vote of thanks to conclude the lecture. The event further extended to a memorable visit to Jang-e-Azadi, Kartarpur.
