HMV Collegiate
Sr. Sec. School organised Virasat-E-Punjab-2019
under the able guidance of Principal
Prof. Dr. (Mrs) Ajay Sareen. Various competitions
on scrap book making, Poster making & Dictionary making were organised in
which students showcased their skills with full zeal & enthusiasm. The main
aim of these competitions were to make students aware of the drug menace &
the ill effect of westernization on our culture & heritage. Principal Prof.
Dr. (Mrs) Ajay Sareen presided over the function as Chief Guest. She encouraged
the students to participate in these kinds of competitions & motivated them
to work more on innovative ideas. Mrs. Meenakshi Syal, Coordinator of
Collegiate School said that the efforts shown by the faculty & students are
highly appreciable. It is need of hour that we must provide a platform to the
students when they can get back to their heritage and encourage their fellow
classmates to follow the traditions & culture of Punjab.
On this occasion Prof. Veena Arora from Punjabi Deptt.
& Prof. Rakhi Mehta from Fine Arts were Judges. Ishika of +1 Commerce got 1st
Prize & Shivani of +1 Commerce got 2nd prize for showing their
talent regarding the things related to the heritage. Princy (+2 Arts) &
Ridhi (+2 Arts) got first & second prize respectively for dictionary making
competition. Saakshi Rane (+1 Medical) got 1st Prize in scrap Book
making & Muskaan (+1 Commerce) got 2nd prize. Muskaan (+2
Medical) won 1st Prize in Poster Making Competition. Simran (+2
Commerce) & Basudha (+2 Medical) got 2nd & 3rd
prize respectively.
Principal Prof. Dr. (Mrs) Ajay Sareen congratulated
the winners. On this occasion Ms. Renu Walia, Ms. Arvinder were also present.
