The undergraduate students of Hans Raj Mahila Maha
Vidyalaya organised a vibrant event Agaaz – 2019 to welcome the new students
under the visionary guidance of Principal Prof. Dr. (Mrs) Ajay Sareen. The
event was convened by Ms. Shallu Batra with the assistance of Co-Incharge Dr.
Sangeeta Arora and Mrs. Meenu Kundra. The organizers gave an adoring welcome to
Principal Prof. Dr. (Mrs) Ajay Sareen. The programme began with the lighting of
lamp followed by recital of DAV Gaan.
Giving her blessings to the students Principal Prof.
Dr. (Mrs) Ajay Sareen said that this formal welcome forms a part of the rich
tradition of HMV and DAV Institutions. Revealing the luminous history of HMV
which was established in Lahore in 1927, she detailed about its glory. She
motivated the students to work right from the beginning to achieve their goals
as well begun is half done. She advised them to complement their academics with
other aspects so as to grow into holistic personalities, HMV offers them the
world class infrastructure and they step out into the world bearing a unique
identity reflecting the spirit of HMV.
The vivacious students performed with elan and put up
a magnificent show by their performances in the form of dances, songs, games,
bhangra etc. The glamour and style of the new students in the modelling rounds
were judged by Dr. Neelam Sharma, Dr. Seema Khanna, Dr. Ashmeen Kaur and Mrs.
Rama Sharma. The students won the titles like Ms. Fresher – Kanishka Pathan,
Ist Runner Up –Gauri, 2nd Runner Up – Avni, Ms. Magnate – Varleen,
Ms. Ingenious – Anna, Ms. Virtuous- Aastha, Ms. Gravity – Isha Verma, Ms.
Stylish – Disha, Ms. Technophile – Aanchal, Ms. Etheral – Mehak, Special Prize
– Priya.
The
Winners were crowned and gifted by Principal Prof. Dr. (Mrs) Ajay Sareen and
the faculty members. To conclude the event Ms. Parneet gave the vote of thanks
followed by the recital of National Anthem.
