The
PG Mathematics department of Hans Raj Mahila Maha Vidyalaya, Jalandhar
organized Mathemania- 2019. On this occasion, Mathematical
Rangoli competition, Poster presentation competition and an extension lecture
was organised. Dr. Jitender Singh, dept. of Mathematics GNDU Amritsar
delivered a lecture on Calculus from Newton to Lebesgue. Madam Principal
Dr. (Mrs.) Ajay Sareen and Head of the department Mrs. Gagandeep welcomed the
resource person formally. Dr. Jitender Singh appreciated the innovative ideas
of the students by presenting Mathematics in various fields of science and
technology through posters and Rangoli. Mrs. Gagandeep addressed the students
by motivating them to do regular exercise of mind by solving various
mathematical problems. In poster presentation, Jaspreet and Manminder of B.Sc(
Sem V) got first prize, Bhavya and Shweta of B.Sc( Sem V) got second prize,
Poornima of B.Sc( Sem I) got third prize and Banita of B.Sc( Sem I) got
consolation prize; whereas in Mathematical Rangoli, Alka and Namrata of B.Sc(
Sem V) got first prize, Charanjeet and
Kanvi of M.Sc( Sem I) got second prize, Aakriti and Diksha of B.Sc( Sem I) got
third prize and Kaveri and Ujala of B.Sc( Sem I), Gunjan and Anu of B.Sc( Sem
V) got consolation prize.
On
this occasion, Mrs. Deepali, Dr. Gaurav, Ms. Kanwalpreet Kaur, Mr. Jagdeep
Singh and Ms. Samanta were also present.
