HMV became the only college in North India to start Ph.D. under NSQF

 


Adding another feather in its cap, Hans Raj Mahila Mahavidalaya has been granted Ph.D in Multimedia & Design under National Skill Qualification Framework by UGC. This is worth mentioning that Hans Raj Mahila Maha Vidalaya has become the only college in North India to start Ph.D under NSQF w.e.f session 2020-21. Principal Prof. Dr. (Mrs.) Ajay Sareen said that it is a matter of great honor for the institution that it will be providing an opportunity to girls to soar high in the field of education through this Ph.D programme. She further added that College has got six more skill courses by UGC under Kaushal Kendra and Community College. This list includes Ph.D in Multimedia & Design, M.Voc in Mental Health Counselling, B.Voc in Management & Enterpreneurship, Diploma in Cooking & Catering Management and Diploma in Communication Skills.

On this occasion Dr. Kanwaldeep Kaur, Dean Academics said that various courses like B.Voc in Fashion Technology, Journalism & Media, Mental Health Counselling, Beauty & Wellness, Banking & Financial Services, E-Commerce and Digital Marketing, Fitness and Yoga, Web Technology and Multimedia, M.Voc in Beauty & Wellness and Web Technology & Multimedia are already being run in the college successfully and it is matter of pride for the college that it has been offered Ph.D in Multimedia & Design under NSQF.

Mrs. Meenakshi Syal, Community College Coordinator said that under Community College Scheme, College is offering one & two year Diploma Courses according to NSQF levels. These courses have nominal fee structure and are certified by Sector Skill Council. Syllabii of these courses are designed by Industry experts in order to give exposure of the practical aspects of the particular field. There are options of multi entry & multi exits and there is no age bar to persue these courses. On this occasion Principal Prof. Dr. (Mrs.) Ajay Sareen congratulates the faculty members for getting new courses and appreciated their efforts.
