The Student Council of Hans Raj Mahila Maha Vidyalaya
celebrated Lohri Festival with full
fervor & enthusiasm. Dean Student Council Mrs. Urvashi Mishra , Dean
Student Welfare Dr. Anjana Bhatia, student office bearers of Student Council Ms. Gurkirat, Ms. Jyot
Sifat presented a beautiful handmade Lohri Card to the Principal Prof. Dr.
(Mrs.) Ajay Sareen. Ms. Navjot Kaur & Ms. Ravneet Kaur presented Punjabi
Folk Songs and Tappe. Under the guidelines of Dr. Prem Sagar, Ms. Shelly, Ms.
Khushi, Ms. Komal & Ms. Anjali Bhagat of Music Department presented songs
based on Lohri Festival. Principal Dr. Ajay Sareen along with all the faculty,
staff members and students gathered around the bonfire & offered peanuts,
til, rewari, maize seeds and worshipped God & wished for everyone’s good
health & progress. Speaking on the occasion Principal Prof. Dr. Sareen Said
that the thinking of society is changing. Lohri of girl child is also
celebrated with full enthusiasm. This is the real women empowerment, our
society has achieved. She gave the message of strengthening, our relations in
society on the ausipicious occasion of Lohri. Fun games were also played by faculty
& staff members. Principal Dr. Sareen blessed everyone on this occasion.
