The NSS Volunteers of Hans Raj Mahila Maha Vidyalaya celebrated Lohri in association with Ex-servicemen Welfare Association Bhogpur (District Jalandhar) under the kind support of Principal Prof. Dr. (Mrs.) Ajay Sareen. This association is run by Additional Deputy Commissioner Sh. Jasbir Singh (PCS) in order to enhance the skill and personality of the girls in the adjoining areas. The NSS volunteers in the event under the guidance of Programme Officers Dr. Anjana Bhatia and Mrs. Veena Arora. The volunteers performed cultural activities in the event.
Principal Prof. Dr. (Mrs.) Ajay Sareen appreciated the initiative of the NSS unit and motivated them to keep contributing into such activities. She felt elated that now lohri is celebrated for girls and boys without any distinction which is a good gesture and step towards equality for both genders. Dr. Anjana Bhatia and Mrs. Veena Arora also urged the volunteers to participate enthusiastically in such welfare activities.
