HMV Collegiate Sr. Sec. School in the campus of Hans Raj
Mahila Maha Vidyalaya is dedicated to the cause of providing value based skill
oriented education to the girls and empowering them since 1927. The institution
is established by DAV College Managing Committee, operating under the sagacious
guidance of Padma Shree Awardee Dr. Sh. Punam Suri, President, DAVCMC, New
Delhi. The institution provides safe, secure and sanitized campus and strictly
follows the protocol due to the outbreak of Corona pandemic. Admission is open
for grade XI and XII for students of CBSE/ICSE or any other state board.
Students can get admission in XII also even if they have passed their XI from
any other board. The school under the patronage of Principal Prof. Dr. (Mrs.)
Ajay Sareen offers education in the various streams like
Medical/Non-Medical/Commerce and Humanities. There are more than 100 combinations
available for humanities students in different subjects like social sciences,
computers, languages and performing art. Alongwith providing curriculum based
education, the school also prepares students for appearing in various
competitive exams like JEE, NEET, CA and Board exams at affordable fee
structure. The students are also
provided with a large number of scholarships and concessions, under different
categories e.g. Fatherless, parentless, Single girl child, poverty etc. Total
freeship is provided to the students securing 96% and above marks and
scholarship of Rs. 10,000/- is provided to the students securing 92% to 96%
marks. School Coordinator Mrs. Meenakshi Sayal highlighting the glorious aspect
of the school mentioned that around 50 students of SSCII secured more than 90%
marks in board exams. 5 students got cent percent marks in individual subjects.
The school has also got lifetime membership of Hindustan scouts and guides with
an aim to provide multifaceted education to the students and those who are
interested to join Indian Arm and Air Force services. Also, there is special
quota of Scouts and Guides students in the recruitment of Indian Railways &
Govt. departments. Special emphasis is laid to provide hands-on-training to the
students to encourage practical
learning. This year our students got second position, Children Science Congress
at State level in which they completed research project of two months. Many
students have also got admissions in medical and engineering colleges after
having passed their XII from our school. Commerce students are also exposed to
various platform like Roleplay and present Business Plan on various topics
which invoke in them strong understanding of concept and ability to express
themselves confidently. The school provides opportunities to the students to
participate in Inter School Competitions at National Level.Our student Sakshi
Badola of SSC II Commerce felt elated as she got a chance to act in short film.
She expressed that it was efforts of the mentors that she has been able to
explore her hidden potential. She had participated actively in many
competitions and now she is completely transformed and full of confidence. The
head girl of the school, Srishti of SSCII (Arts), is overwhelmed with the
