Continuing with the glorious tradition to foster a sense of support and connectedness with the institution, HMV Alumnae Welfare Association (Regd.) hosted virtual Alumnae Meet, E-Punarmilan, the second virtual meet in succession under the dynamic support of Principal Prof. Dr. Mrs. Ajay Sareen. The programme started with the recitation of Gayatri Mantra and DAV Gaan. Principal Prof. Dr. Mrs. Ajay Sareen delightfully extended a warm welcome to all the members.She offered great reverence to the members and thanked them for the benign support and said that the smiles on their faces are a source of inspiration and motivation. She felt proud that HMVians possess a sense of dedication and commitment which they reflect throughout their lives. The sweet messages posted by the alumnae act like soothing shade in the scorching light. She prayed for the health and well-being of everyone in the tough times of the COVID pandemic. She also thanked the organizing committee for organizing this event.
Dr. Rashmi Khurana, Patron, HMV Alumnae Welfare Association, welcomed the Chief Patron, Dr. (Mrs.) Ajay Sareen andappreciated the support of the alumnae members. Feeling proud of the luminous legacy of HMV and being a part of it, she expressed her utmost desire to promote it further.Mrs. Sarvinder Kaur, President, HMV Alumnae Welfare Association, officially felicitated the new governing body of the Association comprising of Principal Dr. Ajay Sareen(Chief Patron),Dr. Rashmi Khurana (Patron), Mrs. Sarvinder Kaur(President), Mrs. Kiranpreet Kaur Dhami(Vice President), Ms. Beenu Rajput(Vice President), Ms. Ramanpreet (Vice President), Mrs. Binoo Gupta(Secretary), Mrs. Savita Mahendru(Joint Secretary), Mrs. Kajal Puri (Treasurer) with a number of executive members as well.Mrs. Kiranpreet, Vice President of the HMV Alumnae Association, reflected upon the values inherited from HMV on a nostalgic note. She thanked Dr. Ajay Sareen for providing the opportunity to form this association. She also requested the members to promote UDAAN Scholarships to the maximum for the benefit of the students. Dr. Anjana Bhatia offered a warm welcome to Ms. Vibha Rana and Mr. Vikrant Rana and released the video on Corona vaccination prepared by the Department of Music. On this occasion, a short film titled ‘Purane Lamhen’ under the production of Beenu Rajput Films was also telecasted. A song by Mrs. Jyoti Sharma was also released.Dr. Neelam Sethi, Mrs. Sarla Bhardwaj, Mrs. Ravinder Bedi, Dr. Kulwinder Kaur,Mrs. Vini Kalia Joshi, Mrs. Rachna Puri contributed in the meet with their poems , songs and memory sharings. The event was organized by Mrs. Deepshikha, Dr. Jyoti Gogia, Mrs. Kajal Puri and Mrs. Shefali Kashyap. The meet was attended by HMV Alumane across the world.
