HMV added another feather to its embellished
cap by receiving Funding Support to Organize Impact Lecture Session 2020-21
from Innovation Cell of Ministry of Education, Govt of India. Principal Prof.
Dr. (Mrs.) Ajay Sareen congratulated the team of Institution's Innovation
Council for the achievement and said that Innovation
is the creation of something that improves the way we live our lives. Innovation
in educational institutions encourages teachers and students to explore,
research, and use all the tools to uncover something new. She further
informed that Ministry of Education, Govt. of India has established
its ‘Innovation Cell’ at All India Council for Technical Education with a
purpose of systematically fostering the culture of Innovation in all Higher
Education Institutions (HEIs) across the country. MoE’s Innovation Cell (MIC) is focusing to
create and strengthen the culture of Innovation and entrepreneurship ecosystem
across higher educational institutions. At HMV, the major focus of
IIC is to create a vibrant local innovation ecosystem
and develop a sound Start-up supporting
Mechanism. Dr. Anjana Bhatia, Dean Innovations and Research told
that the Ministry of Education's Innovation Cell
(MIC) had processed the received applications from IIC institutions to organize
impact lecture sessions with funding support from MIC/AICTE. The
evaluation committee approved Hans Raj Mahila Maha Vidyalaya, Jalandhar as the
finalist for the same. The objective of supporting the institution to organize impact lectures is to aware
students and faculty members about innovation ecosystem in their surrounding
and at national level. The entire team of Instituion Innovation Council i.e. Ms.
Sonia Mahendru, Dr. Rakhi Mehta, Dr. Simmi,
Ms. Harpreet, Mrs. Alka, Mrs. Lovleen, Mrs. Navneeta, Mr. Ashish Chadha, Dr. Jaspreet
Kaur, Dr. Minakshi Duggal, Mr. Rishabh
Dhir and Mr. Vidhu Vohra expressed their delight over the accomplishment.
