Majestic Celebrations of 96th Foundation Day of HMV
Year after year, blessed by
the horn of plenty, Hans Raj Mahila Maha Vidyalaya, Jalandhar grandly
proceeding towards 100 years of its existence, celebrated its 96th
Foundation Day under the sagely patrons of DAVCMC and the lead of Principal
Prof. Dr. (Mrs.) Ajay Sareen. The week long celebrations culminated with a
major event in the presence of Chief Guest Sh. Raman Arora, MLA, Jalandhar
Central, Guests of Honour Mr. & Mrs. Y.K. Sud , Sh. Kundan Lal
Aggarwal, Sh. Surendra Seth, Sh. Dwarka Nath Sharma, Principal Rakesh Kumar,
Officiating Principal Sh. Salil Uppal, Dr. Sushma Chawla, Dr. Pawan Gupta and other Local Committee members. The elated host
Principal Dr. Ajay Sareen accorded green welcome and presented paintings and
phulkari to Sh. Raman Arora and worthy guests of the day. She expressed her
heartfelt thanks to the incessant support of Arya Ratan Dr. Punam Suri Ji,
President DAVCMC, New Delhi, Director Higher Education, DAVCMC Sh. S.R. Gaur,
Vice President DAVCMC and Chairman Local Committee Sh. N.K. Sud, Local
Committee members and all the
stakeholders. She enumerated the copious accolades from the glorious
encyclopedia of success which makes HMV a renowned name in the field of
education. The recent achievement of receiving highest score third time in a
row and A++ grade in NAAC accreditation has eternalized the name of HMV on the
path of glory. Grant to 7 Departments under Star Scheme, Green Champion Award and
a number of rankings and first to its credit has added to the long list of its achievements. Maintaining its
tradition of innovative practices, Principal Dr. Ajay Sareen announced the
inauguration of Research and Development Cell, 3 short term courses along with Start
Up by Department of Cosmetology and installation of 100 bird houses named
Aab-o-Dana. The event also witnessed the inauguration of renovating and automatizing
the hostel mess funded by Sh. I.K. Sud from America. Principal Dr. Sareen
concluded on a positive note, anticipating full support from Sh. Raman Arora
Ji, who ensured every help to the institution. The members who have completed
25 years of services at HMV were honoured on the occasion which included the
names of Mrs. Navroop, Mrs. Mamta, Dr. Prem Sagar, Dr. Santosh Khanna, Dr.
Neelam Sharma, Mrs. Deepshikha, Mr. Pankaj Jyoti and Mr. Lakhwinder Singh. Sh.
Surendra Seth and Sh. Y.K. Sud gave their blessings and wishes for maintaining
the tradition of excellence by HMV. Student Council depicted the journey of
last year of the institution with a remarkable choreography. Mrs. Navroop and
Mrs. Kuljit Kaur eulogized HMV in form of wonderful pieces of poetry. Dr.
Ashmeen Kaur, IQAC Coordinator presented the vote of thanks. Dipped deep in
ethics, the event which began with the DAV Anthem and lighting of lamp, closed
with the recital of National Anthem.
