Hans Raj Mahila Maha Vidyalaya, Jalandhar is known for innovations. Under the
able guidance of Principal Prof. Dr. (Mrs.) Ajay Sareen, students participated
in SMART India Hackathon-2022 which was organized to enhance the innovation
streak among potential innovators and promising scientists and to further
establish the idea-sharing, effective collaboration and creativeness driven by
enthusiasm towards a shared goal. Smart India Hackathon-2022 is a nationwide
initiative to provide students a platform to solve some of the pressing
problems we face in our daily lives, and thus inculcate a culture of product
innovation and a mindset of problem solving. Talented youngsters from HMV
offered out-of-the-box solutions to various problems like water pollution,
reinventing Indian culture, e-commerce, various helping aids for persons with
disabilities and mental problems, energy conservation etc. A number of students
from various streams participated in the hackathon. Ideas of teams
WeEvolve, WaterPhi, My Digi Yatra, Dharma Chanters, Alert Tech were specially
appreciated. The role of jury was played by Mrs. Navneeta, Dr. Minakshi Duggal
Mehta, Mr. Ashish Chadha and Mr. Rishabh Dhir. Dr. Anjana Bhatia, Incharge
Innoovation Council remarked that the theme of this hackathon was “No problem
is too big... No idea is too small”. She further said that this idea hackathon
was organized to provide solutions to various Problem statements submitted by
Central & State Ministries, Departments, PSUs, Industries & NGOs etc on
the Smart India Hackathon portal. Gauri Jindal, Diksha, Mehak Bhatia, Deepali,
Harshita, Palak Rana, Sehajdeep, Palak, Jasleen, Manpreet, Muskan, Massarat,
Aksriti, Navreen, Khusboo were chosen for idea submission. Principal Dr.
Ajay Sareen congratulated the participants and said that such endeavours
stimulate the innovative minds and help build a more creative society and
nation.
