Under the able guidance of Principal Prof. Dr. (Mrs.) Ajay
Sareen, Hans Raj Mahila Maha Vidyalaya, Jalandhar was selected for orgainising
IP Literacy Awareness Programme by Ministry of Education's Innovation Cell
under Kalam Programme for IP Literacy and Awareness (KAPILA) in collaboration
with ‘National Intellectual Property Awareness Mission (NIPAM). Under the
aegis of KAPILA and NIPAM, the Institute innovation Cell of HMV organized a
webinar on Creative India, Innovative India. The Resource Person was Sh.
Sandeep Singh, Examiner of Patents And Designs, (Nipam Officer), Patent Office
Delhi. The programme aimed to establish the prerequisite IP filing
ecosystem in a large number of educational institutes thus creating a culture
of systematically protecting new ideas, research, and innovation having
national and global relevance. The training session focussed on different
aspects of Intellectual Property Rights (IPRs) such as Patent, Design,
Trademark, Copyright and Geographical Indication. Sh. Sandeep Singh discussed
about Different type of IPR’S , Utilization and Commercialization
,-Introduction to Patents, Patent Application Filing ,Patent Application
Processing ,-Various Timelines for the Patents, Introduction to Designs,
Introduction to Trademarks, Introduction to Copyrights, Introduction to
Geographical Indications ,Career Opportunities etc. The students gained a lot
from this webinar. Principal Dr. Ajay Sareen congratulated the Institution
Innovation Council for organizing the event. On this occasion, Dr Anjana
Bhatia, Dean, Innovations and Research expressed her gratitude towards
Innovation Cell of Ministry of Education for selecting HMV as one of the
centres for organizing this programme. Dr. Meenakshi Duggal and Dr. Jaspreet
were incharges of the event. The webinar was attended by students and teachers
of HMV-IIC.
