The NSS Unit
of Hans Raj Mahila Maha Vidyalaya, Jalandhar organized Van Mahotsav under the
guidance of Principal Prof. Dr. (Mrs.) Ajay Sareen under the aegis of
Environment, Forest and Climate Ministry, Govt. of India. Under this the NSS
unit organized Green Festival, Green Oath taking ceremony. On this occasion
Principal Dr. Ajay Sareen, NSS Unit Advisor Dr. Anjana Bhatia, Programme
Officer Ms. Harmanu Paul, School Coordinator Mrs. Meenakshi Sayal and Dr.
Shailendra Kumar along with NSS Volunteers planted trees in the campus and took
oath for the protection and conservation of environment. Principal Dr. Ajay
Sareen said that conservation of environment is our top most priority and moral
duty so that we can safeguard the future of our coming generation. Increasing
level of pollution is another big problem before us. We should take necessary
steps against pollution so that we can protect our mother nature. NSS
Volunteers took oath to plant more trees, shun the use of plastic and to
conserve energy and water. NSS Programme Advisor Dr. Anjana Bhatia made the
students aware about the protection of environment.
