Graduate Department of Punjabi and Holistic Development Cell organized a lively
interaction Ru-B-Ru with a renowned diasporic poetess Ms. Surinder Geet under
the inspirational support of Principal Prof. Dr. (Mrs.) Ajay Sareen. Mrs.
Navroop, Head Department of Punjabi and Mrs. Kuljit Kaur, Incharge Punjabi
Sahit Sabha extended a green welcome to the guests. Ms. Surinder Geet
elaborated on her life experiences and challenges in Canada. She recited some
of her poems depicting her love for her country and sweet-sour episodes of
life. Mrs. Navroop highlighted the unique aspects of the poetess personality
and motivated the students to take inspiration from her. Principal Dr. Ajay
Sareen congratulated the Department for organizing this event as it given an
opportunity to meet famous personalities and learn new ideas from them. Mrs.
Veena Arora presented the vote of thanks. Mrs. Kuljit Kaur conducted the stage
and asked students to read good literacy books. Dr. Mandeep Kaur, Dr. Sandeep
Kaur, Ms. Manpreet Kaur and Mrs. Pawandeep Kaur were also present on the
occasion.
